Journal ArticleDOI

ErbB2 increases vascular endothelial growth factor protein synthesis via activation of mammalian target of rapamycin/p70S6K leading to increased angiogenesis and spontaneous metastasis of human breast cancer cells

TL;DR: The findings show that ErbB2 increases VEGF protein production by activating p70S6K in cell lines, xenografts, and in human cancers and suggest that these signaling molecules may serve as targets for antiangiogenic and antimetastatic therapies.
Journal ArticleDOI

14-3-3ζ Overexpression Defines High Risk for Breast Cancer Recurrence and Promotes Cancer Cell Survival

TL;DR: It is shown that 14-3-3zeta overexpression also persisted in invasive ductal carcinoma and contributed to the further progression of breast cancer and may serve as an effective therapeutic target in patients whose tumors overexpress 14- 3- 3zeta.
Journal ArticleDOI

Circulating Long RNAs in Serum Extracellular Vesicles: Their Characterization and Potential Application as Biomarkers for Diagnosis of Colorectal Cancer

TL;DR: Exosomal mRNAs and lncRNAs in serum could be used as biomarkers to detect colorectal cancer, and among three types of vesicles in sera, EXOs were the richest reservoir for almost all measured long RNAs.
Journal ArticleDOI

ESG Shareholder Engagement and Downside Risk

TL;DR: In this article, the authors show that ESG shareholder engagement reduces downside risk, measured using lower partial moments and value at risk, by exploiting proprietary access to the complete engagement database of one of the world's largest institutional shareholders.
Journal ArticleDOI

Scalable integrated single-photon source.

TL;DR: This work reports on the realization of a deterministic single-photon source featuring near-unity indistinguishability using a quantum dot in an “on-chip” planar nanophotonic waveguide circuit, found to enable scaling into the regime of quantum advantage.
