1.6 µm Wavelength Buried Heterostructure GaInAsP/InP Lasers

TL;DR: In this paper, the gain suppression in spontaneously emitting resonant modes due to the lasing mode was found out, and it was significantly larger than that in lightly doped GaAs/AlGaAs DH lasers.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Light Beam Waveguide Using Hyperbolic-Type Gas Lenses

TL;DR: In this article, the optimum design of a light beam waveguide constructed with a proposed lens-like medium, namely, a hyperbolic-type gas lens, was studied, and it was shown that the experimental convergency of this gas lens was in agreement with the theoretical one.
Journal ArticleDOI

Ga x In 1-x As y P 1-y /InP injection laser partially loaded with first-order distributed Bragg reflector

TL;DR: In this article, GaInAsP/InP distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) with a first-order grating was demonstrated experimentally for the first time at a wavelength of 13 μm, single longitudinal mode oscillation was obtained at low temperature, and the temperature dependence of the lasing wavelength was 07-08 A/deg.
