Synthesis and photovoltaic properties of novel C60 bisadducts based on benzo[2,1,3]-thiadiazole

TL;DR: In this article, a novel C60 solar cell acceptor (BTOQC, benzo[2,1,3]-thiadiazole-o-quinodimethane-C60 bisadducts) based on BTOQ was synthesized as model to study how the thiadiaide group will affect the device performance in bulk heterojunction organic photovoltaics with poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) as donor.
Journal ArticleDOI

Role of multivalent cations in the self-assembly of phospholipid-DNA complexes.

TL;DR: The presented methodology may help develop predictive models for biomolecular self-assembled systems by supporting X-ray diffraction experiments in the sense that lipids form inverted micelles around hexagonally arranged DNA rods, with cations in between to maintain the cohesion.
Journal ArticleDOI

Conjugated polymers based on dicarboxylic imide-substituted isothianaphthene and their applications in solar cells

TL;DR: In this article, four new polymers containing a benzo[c]thiophene-N-dodecyl-4,5-dicarboxylic imide (DIITN) unit including the homopolymer and three donor-acceptor copolymers were designed, synthesized, and characterized.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparative studies on the electrochemical and optical properties of representative benzo[1,2-c;4,5-c′]bis[1,2,5]thiadiazole, [1,2,5]-thiadiazolo[3,4-g]quinoxaline and pyrazino[2,3-g]quinoxaline derivatives

TL;DR: In this paper, the synthesis and characterization of a series of structurally correlated benzo[1,2-c;4,5-c′]bis[ 1,2,5]thiadiazole, [1, 2,5]-thiadiadiazolo[3,4-g]quinoxaline and pyrazino[2,3-g]-quinoxine derivatives using improved synthetic methods is reported.
