In vitro anti-herpes simplex virus activity of 1,2,4,6-tetra-O-galloyl-β-D-glucose from Phyllanthus emblica L. (Euphorbiaceae).
Yangfei Xiang,Ying Pei,Chang Qu,Zhicai Lai,Zhe Ren,Ke Yang,Sheng Xiong,Ying-Jun Zhang,Chong-Ren Yang,Dong Wang,Qing Liu,Kaio Kitazato,Wang Yifei +12 more
TL;DR: It was suggested that 1,2,4,6‐tetra‐O‐galloyl‐β‐d‐glucose (1246TGG) might exert anti‐HSV activity both by inactivating extracellular viral particles and by inhibiting viral biosynthesis in host cells.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cofilin 1-Mediated Biphasic F-Actin Dynamics of Neuronal Cells Affect Herpes Simplex Virus 1 Infection and Replication
Yangfei Xiang,Kai Zheng,Huai-Qiang Ju,Shaoxiang Wang,Ying Pei,Wei-Chao Ding,Zhen-Ping Chen,Qiaoli Wang,Xianxiu Qiu,Meigong Zhong,Fan-Li Zeng,Zhe Ren,Chuiwen Qian,Ge Liu,Kaio Kitazato,Wang Yifei +15 more
TL;DR: The biphasic F-actin dynamics in HSV-1 neuronal infection is demonstrated for the first time and the association of F-Actin with the changes in the expression and activity of cofilin 1 is confirmed to provide insight into the mechanism by which HSV -1 productively infects neuronal cells and causes pathogenesis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Proteomics analysis of autophagy-deficient Atg7-/- MEFs reveals a close relationship between F-actin and autophagy.
Cuiqin Zhuo,Yu-hua Ji,Zhen-Ping Chen,Kaio Kitazato,Yangfei Xiang,Meigong Zhong,Qiaoli Wang,Ying Pei,Huai-Qiang Ju,Wang Yifei +9 more
TL;DR: A quantitative proteomics analysis of autophagy-deficient mouse embryonic fibroblast cells using iTRAQ labeling coupled with on-line 2D LC/MS/MS demonstrated a close relationship between F-actin and autophagic and provide the basis for further investigation of their interactions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Pentagalloylglucose downregulates cofilin1 and inhibits HSV-1 infection
Ying Pei,Yangfei Xiang,Jia-Nan Chen,Chun-Hua Lu,Jing Hao,Qian Du,Chi-choi Lai,Chang Qu,Shen Li,Huai-Qiang Ju,Zhe Ren,Qiu-Ying Liu,Sheng Xiong,Chuiwen Qian,Fan-Li Zeng,Pei-Zhuo Zhang,Chong-Ren Yang,Ying-Jun Zhang,Jun Xu,Kaio Kitazato,Wang Yifei +20 more
TL;DR: Results suggested that down-regulating cofilin1 plays a role in PGG inhibiting HSV-1 infection, and PGG may be a promising anti-herpesvirus agent for drug development.
Journal ArticleDOI
7-O-methylkaempferol and -quercetin glycosides from the whole plant of Nervilia fordii.
TL;DR: Five new 7-O-methylkaempferol and -quercetin glycosides, namely, nervilifordins A-E (1-5), were isolated from the whole plant of Nervilia fordii and their structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analyses, including HSQC, HMBC, ROESY, and chemical methods.
