Primary care characteristics and stage of cancer at diagnosis using data from the national cancer registration service, quality outcomes framework and general practice information

Journal ArticleDOI
Timing of Puberty Determines Serum Insulin-Like Growth Factor-I in Late Adulthood
TL;DR: This is the first study to document an association between timing of puberty and adult IGF-I levels, and a better understanding of life course determinants of the IGF system may provide new insights into disease etiology and primary prevention.
Journal ArticleDOI
Personality and addictive behaviours in early Parkinson's disease and REM sleep behaviour disorder
Fahd Baig,Michael A Lawton,Michal Rolinski,Claudio Ruffmann,Johannes C. Klein,Kannan Nithi,David Okai,Yoav Ben-Shlomo,Michele T.M. Hu +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the early stages of Parkinson's disease were found to be more neurotic, and personality characteristics were associated with addictive behaviours, suggestive of a common link, but the lower rates of addictive behaviours before and after the onset of motor symptoms in PD persisted after accounting for personality.
