Mutations in DDX58, which Encodes RIG-I, Cause Atypical Singleton-Merten Syndrome
Mi-Ae Jang,Eun Kyoung Kim,Hesung Now,Nhung Thi-Cam Nguyen,Woo-Jong Kim,Joo-Yeon Yoo,Jinhyuk Lee,Jinhyuk Lee,Yun-Mi Jeong,Cheol-Hee Kim,Ok Hwa Kim,Seongsoo Sohn,Seong-Hyeuk Nam,Yoojin Hong,Yong-seok Lee,Sung-A Chang,Shin Yi Jang,Jong-Won Kim,Myung-Shik Lee,So Young Lim,Ki-Sun Sung,Ki-Tae Park,Byoung Joon Kim,Joo-Heung Lee,Duk-Kyung Kim,Changwon Kee,Chang-Seok Ki +26 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that DDX58 mutations cause atypical SMS manifesting with variable expression of glaucoma, aortic calcification, and skeletal abnormalities without dental anomalies.
Journal ArticleDOI
Optogenetic control of endogenous Ca 2+ channels in vivo
Taeyoon Kyung,Sangkyu Lee,Jung Eun Kim,Taesup Cho,Hyerim Park,Yun-Mi Jeong,Dong-Kyu Kim,Anna Shin,Sungsoo Kim,Jinhee Baek,Ji-Hoon Kim,Na Yeon Kim,Doyeon Woo,Sujin Chae,Cheol-Hee Kim,Hee-Sup Shin,Yong-Mahn Han,Daesoo Kim,Won Do Heo +18 more
TL;DR: The broad utility of OptoSTIM1 will expand the mechanistic understanding of numerous Ca2-associated processes and facilitate screening for drug candidates that antagonize Ca2+ signals.
Journal ArticleDOI
Through-bond energy transfer based dyad and triad shape fluorescence “OFF-ON-OFF” probes for Hg2+ ions and their application in live HeLa cells and Zebrafish
TL;DR: In this article, two novel through-bond energy transfer (TBET) based naphthoquinone derivatives, R1 and R2, have been designed and synthesized with characteristics of a dyad (rhodamine-quinone) and a triad (Rhodamine, quinone, rhodamine), respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI
Expression of miRNA-122 Induced by Liver Toxicants in Zebrafish
Hyun-Sik Nam,Kyu-Seok Hwang,Yun-Mi Jeong,Jeong-Im Ryu,Tae-Young Choi,Myung Ae Bae,Woo-Chan Son,Kwan-Hee You,Hwa-Young Son,Cheol-Hee Kim +9 more
TL;DR: Results indicated that miRNA-122 may be utilized as a liver-specific biomarker for acute liver toxicity in zebrafish.
Journal ArticleDOI
Induction of clusterin Expression by Neuronal Cell Death in Zebrafish
Yun-Mi Jeong,Tae-Eun Jin,Jung Hwa Choi,Mi Sun Lee,Hyun-Taek Kim,Kyu-Seok Hwang,Doo-Sang Park,Hyun-Woo Oh,Joong-Kook Choi,Vladimir Korzh,Melitta Schachner,Melitta Schachner,Kwan-Hee You,Cheol-Hee Kim +13 more
TL;DR: A transgenic zebrafish was investigated, in which nitroreductase expression is regulated under the control of a neuron-specific huC promoter which is active between the stages of early neuronal precursors and mature neurons, suggesting a direct or indirect role of clusterin in neuronal cell death and thus, more generally, in neurodegeneration.
