On the Lack of Stratospheric Dynamical Variability in Low‐Top Versions of the CMIP5 Models
Andrew Charlton-Perez,Mark P. Baldwin,Thomas Birner,Robert X. Black,Amy H. Butler,Natalia Calvo,Nicholas A. Davis,Edwin P. Gerber,Nathan P. Gillett,Steven C. Hardiman,J. H. Kim,Kirstin Krüger,Yun-Young Lee,Elisa Manzini,Brent A. McDaniel,Lorenzo M. Polvani,Thomas Reichler,Tiffany A. Shaw,Michael Sigmond,Seok-Woo Son,Matthew Toohey,Laura Wilcox,Shigeo Yoden,Bo Christiansen,François Lott,Drew Shindell,Seiji Yukimoto,Shingo Watanabe +27 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe the main differences in simulations of stratospheric climate and variability by models within the fifth Coupled Model Intercomparison Project (CMIP5).
Journal ArticleDOI
A genome-wide microarray analysis reveals anti-inflammatory target genes of paeonol in macrophages.
TL;DR: The results demonstrate that paeonol has extensive inhibitory effects on the regulation of inflammation associated gene expression by LPS in macrophages, and suggests that p Jaeonol may be a major ingredient for the anti-inflammatory effect of paeony root.
Journal ArticleDOI
The economic value of NFT: Evidence from a portfolio analysis using mean-variance framework
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors investigate whether the inclusion of NFTs in portfolio investing in traditional assets provides a significant diversification benefit for constructing a well-diversified portfolio.
Journal ArticleDOI
Influence of the East Asian winter monsoon on the storm track activity over the North Pacific
TL;DR: This article investigated the relationship between the East Asian winter monsoon (EAWM) and synoptic eddy activity over the North Pacific Ocean and found that EAWM-induced lower level cooling brings about the reverse relationship: a stronger jet but with weaker storm activities.
Journal ArticleDOI
Boreal winter low-frequency variability in CMIP5 models
Yun-Young Lee,Robert X. Black +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the capability of CMIP5 models in representing primary modes of boreal winter extratropical low-frequency variability is assessed. But, the results show that models having a well-resolved stratosphere generally perform more poorly than those without.
