Journal ArticleDOI
Metagenomic insights into the microbiota profiles and bioaugmentation mechanism of organics removal in coal gasification wastewater in an anaerobic/anoxic/oxic system by methanol.
Weichao Xu,Yuxiu Zhang,Hongbin Cao,Yuxing Sheng,Haibo Li,Yuping Li,He Zhao,Xuefei Gui,Xuefei Gui +8 more
TL;DR: Microbial community revealed that methanol increased the abundance of phenolics and PAHs degraders such as Comamonas, Burkholderia and Sphingopyxis, and functional analysis revealed the relative abundance of functional genes associated with toluene, benzoate andPAHs degradation pathways was higher than that of control based on KEGG database.
Journal ArticleDOI
Performance prediction of ZVI-based anaerobic digestion reactor using machine learning algorithms.
Weichao Xu,Weichao Xu,Weichao Xu,Fei Long,He Zhao,Yaobin Zhang,Dawei Liang,Dawei Liang,Luguang Wang,Keaton Larson Lesnik,Hongbin Cao,Yuxiu Zhang,Hong Liu +12 more
TL;DR: Three machine learning algorithms, namely random forest (RF), extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost), and deep learning (DL), were evaluated for their feasibility of predicting the performance of ZVI-based AD reactors based on the operating parameters collected in 9 published articles and XGBoast demonstrated the highest accuracy in predicting total methane production.
Journal ArticleDOI
New insights of enhanced anaerobic degradation of refractory pollutants in coking wastewater: Role of zero-valent iron in metagenomic functions.
TL;DR: This study proposed and validated a new strategy of using zero-valent iron (ZVI) to strengthen the anaerobic treatment of CWW and indicated that the decreased oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) by ZVI was the main driver for microbial community succession.
Journal ArticleDOI
A novel phenol and ammonia recovery process for coal gasification wastewater altering the bacterial community and increasing pollutants removal in anaerobic/anoxic/aerobic system
TL;DR: The results suggested that the IPE process was a feasible pretreatment method, and the coupled IPE-A2/O system was an alternative technique for treating CGWW.
Journal ArticleDOI
Analysis of a diverse bacterial community and degradation of organic compounds in a bioprocess for coking wastewater treatment
TL;DR: The community structure and degradation of organic compounds of a full-scale coking wastewater treatment plant with anaerobic, anoxic, and oxic process (A1/A2/O) were studied and phenols, indole, quinoline and pyridine were the main organic pollutants.
