Nutrient removal and biodiesel production by integration of freshwater algae cultivation with piggery wastewater treatment
Liandong Zhu,Zhongming Wang,Qing Shu,Josu Takala,Erkki Hiltunen,Pingzhong Feng,Zhenhong Yuan +6 more
TL;DR: An integrated approach, which combined freshwater microalgae Chlorella zofingiensis cultivation with piggery wastewater treatment, was investigated, where the advantageous nutrient removal and the highest productivities of biomass, lipid and biodiesel were presented.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hydrogen-rich gas production from biomass air and oxygen/steam gasification in a downdraft gasifier
TL;DR: In this article, a self-heated downdraft gasifier was used as the reactor and char as the catalyst to study the characteristics of hydrogen production from biomass gasification.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bio-syngas production from biomass catalytic gasification
TL;DR: In this article, the characteristics of biomass gasification gas, such as H(2)/CO and tar yield, as well as its potential for liquid fuel synthesis is explored. And the results indicate that an appropriate temperature (750 degrees C for the current study) and more catalyst are favorable for getting a higher H( 2)/CO ratio.
Journal ArticleDOI
Improved biogas production from rice straw by co-digestion with kitchen waste and pig manure.
TL;DR: In order to investigate the effect of feedstock ratios in biogas production, anaerobic co-digestions of rice straw with kitchen waste and pig manure were carried out and the optimal ratio of kitchen waste, pig manure, and rice straw was 0.4:1.
Journal ArticleDOI
Liquid hot water pretreatment of lignocellulosic biomass for bioethanol production accompanying with high valuable products.
TL;DR: A combined process producing ethanol and high value-added products was proposed basing on the works of Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion to make LHW pretreatment acceptable in the biorefinery of cellulosic ethanol.
