TL;DR: In this paper, the high-temperature oxidation of formaldehyde in the presence of carbon monoxide was investigated to determine the rate constant of the reaction HO2 + CO CO CO2 + OH (10).
Abstract: The high-temperature oxidation of formaldehyde in the presence of carbon monoxide was investigated to determine the rate constant of the reaction HO2 + CO CO2 + OH (10). In the temperature range of 878–952°K from the initial parts of the kinetic curves of the HO2 radicals and CO2 accumulation at small extents of the reaction, when the quantity of the reacted formaldehyde does not exceed 10%, it was determined that the rate constant k10 is A computer program was used to solve the system of differential equations which correspond to the high-temperature oxidation of formaldehyde in the presence of carbon monoxide. The computation confirmed the experimental results. Also discussed are existing experimental data related to the reaction of HO2 with CO.

TL;DR: Study of the pH dependence of the changes occurring in the circular dichroism and absorption spectra has shown that in the modified proteins, the pyridoxyl phosphate chromophore is rather sensitive to the ionic state of the surrounding medium and serves as a "reporter" group when the relationship between structure and function of the RNAase A active site is being investigated.

TL;DR: An approach to the treatment of solvability and unsolvability notions for mass problems defined on finite sets and a formal scale of solver notions for such mass problems will be proposed.
Abstract: We shall describe an approach to the treatment of solvability and unsolvability notions for mass problems defined on finite sets. A formal scale of solvability notions for such mass problems will be proposed. The general approach follows some concepts of J. yon Neumann [fl], A.N.Kolmogorov [2], A.A.Markov [3], S.V. Jablonskir [4], O.B.Lupanov [5]; it is similar to the concepts of A.I~eyer [6] and A.Ehrenfeucht [7] and continues the concepts described in I~8] and [9] ( in square brackets we shall write the numbers of references and in parentheses the numbers of levels of solvability).

TL;DR: In this paper, a formula was proposed for the determination of the rate constant of quadratic destruction of peroxide radicals in polystyrene in the interval from 10 to −75°.
Abstract: 1. The kinetics of the photoinduced formation and destruction of peroxide radicals {RO2.} of polystyrene in the liquid phase was studied by the ESR method. 2. A formula was proposed for the determination of the rate constant of quadratic destruction of RO2. in the interval from 10 to −75°. 3. The kinetic principles of the accumulation of {RO2.} were explained considering cross recombination of peroxide and alkyl radicals; the ratio of the rate constants of reactions of the type of R. + O2 and R. + RO2. was estimated according to the experimental data.

TL;DR: The role of phospholipids in the formation of the various factors of the clotting and anticlotting systems of the blood is discussed.
Abstract: As reflected in the content of total phospholipids (neutral and acid) and the degree of change in thromboplastic activity (TA) as a result of incubation of brain tissue homogenates from normal animals and from animals treated with adrenalin, the brain regions studied can be arranged in the following order: medulla > cerebellum > cerebral cortex. The effects of adrenalin are characterized by a decrease in TA, i.e., by changes opposite to those observed in TA under normal conditions. The role of phospholipids in the formation of the various factors of the clotting and anticlotting systems of the blood is discussed.
