TL;DR: Aloe vera is medicinal plant which has anti aging properties; it removes wrinkles of skin and repair the damaged skin and contains many vitamins such as vitamin B12, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E and folic acid.
Abstract: Aloe vera ( Aloe barbadensis miller) belongs to Asphodelaceae (Liliaceae) family, and is a shrubby or arborescent, perennial, xerophytic, succulent, pea- green color plant. The name Aloe vera derives from the Arabic word “Alloeh” meaning “shining bitter substance,” while “vera” in Latin means “true.”. The Aloe vera plant has been used for various purposes in dermatology. Aloe vera is medicinal plant which has anti aging properties; it removes wrinkles of skin and repair the damaged skin. Aloe vera Gel contains many vitamins such as vitamin B12, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E and folic acid. Aloe is a powerful detoxifier, antiseptic, nerve tonic .it improves digestion and has immune-boosting,anti-viral properties.

TL;DR: In this paper, an anthranilic acid based Schiff base SB was used as a "Turn-ON" fluorescent probe for the detection of highly toxic selenite (SeIV) and arsenite (AsIII) species in an aqueous medium.
Abstract: The exploration of an anthranilic acid based Schiff base SB as a "Turn-ON" fluorescent probe for the detection of highly toxic selenite (SeIV) and arsenite (AsIII) species in an aqueous medium is described. The selectivity of SB towards SeIV and AsIII in the presence of other ions was investigated by some spectrofluorimetric and 1H NMR spectroscopic experiments. The studies revealed the interaction between SB and AsIII via the deprotonation of phenolic -OH, which enhanced the conjugation in phenolate ion and in turn enhanced the emission response. The SB has analytical prospects for the quantification of AsIII and SeIV with good sensitivity (LODs; 5.15 ppb for SeIV and 3.12 ppb for AsIII calculated by S/N = 3σ/K). Furthermore, it can be used to evaluate real and synthetic samples for the presence of SeIV and AsIII species as well as the fabrication of on-spot recognition devices (in the form of silica gels SB@SiO2 and silica coated TLC aluminium strips SB@SiO2@Al).

01 Dec 2015TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented the study to predict the pressure and velocity field distributions for a hybrid two-bucket Savonius rotor and three blade egg-beater type Darrieus rotor vertical axis wind turbine using Fluent in ANSYS 15.0.
Abstract: The current work presents the study to predict the pressure and velocity field distributions for a hybrid two-bucket Savonius rotor and three blade egg-beater type Darrieus rotor vertical axis wind turbine using Fluent in ANSYS 15.0. Two cases of overlap conditions for the Savonius rotor i.e. 10.7% and 20.5% have been considered in this study. The Savonius rotor height is assumed approximately equivalent to rotor diameter and NACA 0012 airfoil cross-section has been considered for Darrieus rotor. Contours of relative velocity and static pressure have been obtained from simulation study and it has been observed that the high performance of the hybrid rotor can be attributed to the high relative speed observed in proximity of Darrieus rotor.

TL;DR: Cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) solubilized wheat protein conjugated NPs demonstrated their strong antimicrobial activities against both Gram negative and Gram positive bacteria making them suitable for their applications in food industry.
Abstract: Hard, medium, and soft wheat proteins, based on gluten content, were studied for their important roles in nanometallic surface chemistry. In situ synthesis of Au nanoparticles (NPs) was followed to...
