TL;DR: This paper simulates with micromagnetic framework a spin orbit torque driven domain wall based synaptic device and demonstrates through simulating “on-chip” learning of the designed FCNN on the MNIST database of handwritten digits that the FCNN trains itself in hardware through continuous update of the weights in the synapses.

TL;DR: This paper has used Hadoop, an open source cloud computing environment, to develop a model for iris recognition, a biometric technique, as one of the strongest method of authentication.
Abstract: Cloud computing is one of the highly researched areas today, with an objective of taking advantage of various computational resources. In this paper we have used cloud computing environment with the aim to speed up the matching process of biometric traits. We have used iris recognition, a biometric technique, as it is one of the strongest method of authentication. Also Iris recognition is stable over time. We have used Hadoop [1], an open source cloud computing environment, to develop this model. Hadoop implements Map/Reduce [1] framework in Java. Map/Reduce make easy to process large amount of data on cloud. The results shows that there is an effective speedup and efficiency gain of Iris template matching on Hadoop process over sequential process.

TL;DR: In this paper, a novel model, AD prediction model, for anxious depression prediction in real-time tweets is proposed, based on linguistic cues and user posting patterns, the feature set is defined using a 5-tuple vector.
Abstract: Mental well-being and social media have been closely related domains of study. In this research a novel model, AD prediction model, for anxious depression prediction in real-time tweets is proposed. This mixed anxiety-depressive disorder is a predominantly associated with erratic thought process, restlessness and sleeplessness. Based on the linguistic cues and user posting patterns, the feature set is defined using a 5-tuple vector.
