TL;DR: Rheumatologists were willing to give up some efficacy to account for patient's preference when choosing treatments for patients with moderate compared to high disease activity, and disease activity did not influence importance of economic aspects in treatment choices.
Abstract: Objective To assess the influence of disease activity of patients with rheumatoid arthritis on treatment choices of rheumatologists in countries with restricted access to expensive, innovative drugs. Methods Rheumatologists from Hungary, Romania and UK were invited to complete two consecutive discrete choice experiments with hypothetical drug treatments for two different patient profiles: high and moderate disease activity. Rheumatologists were asked to choose repeatedly between two unlabelled treatment options that differed in five attributes: efficacy (expected improvement and achieved disease activity state), safety (probability of serious adverse events), patient9s preference (level of agreement), total medication costs and cost-effectiveness. A heteroscedastic discrete choice model using interaction terms between attribute levels and patient profiles (binary variable) was used to assess the preferences of rheumatologists towards each attribute and the influence of the patient profile. Results Overall, 148 rheumatologists completed the survey (46% females, mean age 49 years, 49% academic). For both patient profiles, efficacy dominated the treatment choice over patient9s preference, safety and economic aspects. However, for patients with high compared with moderate disease activity, the importance of drug efficacy significantly increased (from 48% for moderate to 57% for high disease activity), whereas the importance of patient9s preference significantly decreased (from 15% to 11%). No significant differences were observed for economic and safety considerations. Conclusion Rheumatologists were willing to give up some efficacy to account for patient9s preference when choosing treatments for patients with moderate compared to high disease activity. Disease activity however did not influence importance of economic aspects in treatment choices.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors discuss the process of judgment and decision-making (JDM) the management of a company goes through when they are confronted with the opportunity to operate internationally and focus on the way country risks are incorporated in the assessment that companies make concerning the feasibility of these international opportunities.
Abstract: In this article we will discuss the process of judgment and decision-making (JDM) the management of a company goes through when they are confronted with the opportunity to operate internationally. In particular we will focus on the way country risks are incorporated in the assessment that companies make concerning the feasibility of these international opportunities. Although the literature appears to offer a systematic approach based on research, the actual JDM follows a different route, one of intuition. This will be demonstrated by research in five sectors in the Netherlands. The gap between theory and its application offers a model for an improved way of doing things by clarifying why business is only partially using the outcome of research.

TL;DR: Clinical use of A- and B-mode echoencephalography in neurology, neurosurgery, and pediatrics, and the diagnostic value of pulsatile echoencephography in several brain diseases is discussed.
Abstract: Clinical use of A- and B-mode echoencephalography in neurology, neurosurgery, and pediatrics is discussed, and some results are presented. Descriptions are given of several techniques to obtain two-dimensional echoencephalographic pictures. Two-dimensional echoencephalography can be particularly helpful with hydrocephalic babies. Recording techniques for pulsatile echoencephalography and the factors influencing the shape of cerebral echo pulsations are considered. Also, the diagnostic value of pulsatile echoencephalography in several brain diseases is discussed.

TL;DR: The problem of determining the Hadwiger number of a graph is NP-hard on co-bipartite graphs but can be solved in polynomial time on cographs and on bipartite permutation graphs.
Abstract: The Hadwiger number of a graph G is the largest integer h such that G has the complete graph K_h as a minor. We show that the problem of determining the Hadwiger number of a graph is NP-hard on co-bipartite graphs, but can be solved in polynomial time on cographs and on bipartite permutation graphs. We also consider a natural generalization of this problem that asks for the largest integer h such that G has a minor with h vertices and diameter at most $s$. We show that this problem can be solved in polynomial time on AT-free graphs when s>=2, but is NP-hard on chordal graphs for every fixed s>=2.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors identify the dominant actors in communication networks on Twitter with the hashtag #IbuKotaBaru during the periods of August 1 to September 22, 2019.
Abstract: Jakarta as the state capital of Indonesia faces complex problems in daily life, especially those related to high population density, urbanization, traffic congestion, natural disasters, and severe environmental conditions. These problems are becoming justifications for the need to move the country's capital to East Kalimantan as decided by the government. East Kalimantan was chosen as the new capital, based on the results of intensive studies, having very minimal disaster reserves such as floods, earthquakes, tsunamis, forest fires and landslides. East Kalimantan is also considered to have a strategic location. If drawn coordinates, its location is in the middle of Indonesian territory, and is near urban areas. Dissemination of information about those planning is done through various communication networks, including on social media. This study aims to identify the dominant actors in communication networks on Twitter with the hashtag #IbuKotaBaru during the periods of August 1 to September 22, 2019. The study was conducted using quantitative approach by employing GEPHI tools. The results revealed that in the #IbuKotaBaru communication network, there were three dominant actors who actively disseminate the relevant information namely detikfinance, yulionta and derupiston. The most popular actor was detikfinance. There are 63.33% of actors who have a high closeness with other actors, there are no actor who mediate with other actors in communication. Yulionta and Derupiston are the two most important actors in disseminating information about the move to new country’s capital in the #IbuKotaBaru communication network as indicated by its highest values of Eigenvector Centrality.
