TL;DR: In this paper, the authors evaluated the chemical composition and in situ degradability of hay stubble from a maize crop fertilized with 40; 120 or 200 kg N ha -1, ammoniated with urea.
Abstract: The objective of this research was to evaluate the chemical composition and in situ degradability of hay stubble from a maize crop fertilized with 40; 120 or 200 kg N ha -1 , ammoniated with urea. To evaluate in situ degradability, 4 g samples were incubated in nylon bags in the rumen of cattle for 6; 24 and 72 hours. The levels of acid detergent fiber (35.4% DM) and acid detergent insoluble nitrogen (18.5% of total N) decreased, resulting in 32.7% of DM and 9.6% of the total N, and crude protein (CP) increased from 5.2 to 9.7% of DM as a result of the ammoniation with urea. The degradation of dry matter (48.7%), CP (56.5%) and neutral detergent fiber (33.6%) increased with ammoniation, averaging 54.5 and 75.4, and 38.4% respectively, but was not influenced by interaction fertilization x ammoniation x incubation time. The soluble fraction of DM and CP increased with ammoniation, and the degradation rate of b fraction was greater than 2% h -1 . The ammoniation of the hay of stubble of maize-crop fertilized with 40 or 120 kg N ha -1 resulted in reduction of NDF content, fraction of the feed which best represents the cell wall. The protein content, in-situ degradability and the kinetics of dry-matter and protein degradation of the hay of stubble of maize-crop were increased by ammoniation with urea (3% in DM basis) and fertilization with 40 or 120 kg N ha -1 , thus not justifying the ammoniation of corn stubble from crops fertilized with 200 kg N ha -1 .

TL;DR: The Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA) metodologia as discussed by the authors is an alternative metodology for quantitativas, which surgiu as tecnicas qualitativas e quantITativas tradicionais conhecida as QCA (qualitative comparative analysis).
No Brasil, no entanto, o uso deste metodo e recente e bastante escasso.

TL;DR: Scale/test technologies that have been used in Federal University of Piaui, namely: Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy Scale (BSES-SF), Summary of Diabetes Self-Care Activities (SDSCA), Braden Scale, Pressure Ulcer Scale for Healing (PUSH) and Nursing Activities Score (NAS) are described.
Escalas. Avaliacao.

TL;DR: It was concluded that qualified and humanized assistance to childbirth and birth privileges women's respect, dignity and autonomy, regarding women's active role in the birth process.
Abstract: Bibliographical study that sought to identify the scientific production about humanization and nursing assistance to normal childbirth. The sources were scientific articles from SCIELO-Brasil's database, from 2000 to 2007. We obtained 13 articles as result from the search, which were grouped in the following categories: childbirth medicalization, humanization of assistance to childbirth, companion during childbirth and performance of the obstetric nurse. The analysis pointed out that the current paradigm is centralized on childbirth intervention, despite of humanization movements defending the natural and physiological childbirth made by the nurse. We concluded that qualified and humanized assistance to childbirth and birth privileges women's respect, dignity and autonomy, regarding women's active role in the birth process.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors look at manufactured home producers as a benchmark for analyzing the current economic state of the industry and discuss competitive strategies, concluding that manufactured homes are in the declining stage of their product life cycle due to changes to the US residential construction sector and the factory-built home industry and by advancements of rival industry segments.
Abstract: Residential construction consumes an estimated 26 percent of the total US wood harvest and thus plays an important role in the forest products value chain While being a relatively small part of the US residential construction market, the factory-built residential housing industry, originating from manufactured homes (eg mobile homes), is embracing emerging industry segments such as modular or panelized homes Since indications exist that factory-built home production is slated to gain a more prominent role in the US construction markets at the cost of traditional stick-built production, the factory-built home industry sub-segment is of considerable importance to the forest products industry This research looks at manufactured home producers as a benchmark for analyzing the current economic state of the industry and discusses competitive strategies The analysis concludes, through macroeconomic modeling, that manufactured homes are in the declining stage of their product life cycle due to changes to the US residential construction sector and the factory-built home industry and by advancements of rival industry-segments As market share continues to decline, firms operating in this industry-segment seek to either hedge their losses through product diversification strategies or remain focused on strategically repositioning the manufactured home segment
