TL;DR: In this article, the authors compute hyperdeterminants of hypermatrices whose indices belong in a meet-semilattice and whose entries depend only of the greatest lower bound of the indices.
Abstract: We compute hyperdeterminants of hypermatrices whose indices belongs in a meet-semilattice and whose entries depend only of the greatest lower bound of the indices. One shows that an elementary expansion of such a polynomial allows to generalize a theorem of Lindstr\"om to higher-dimensional determinants. And we gave as an application generalizations of some results due to Lehmer, Li and Haukkanen.

TL;DR: This article provided a historical analysis of the evolution of PE teacher education (PETE) in France since the end of the nineteenth century, highlighting three main points: the progressive unification and integration into university structures, the implementation of scientific research within the structures of PETE and the creation of a specific corporate body of teachers.
Abstract: The paper provides a historical analysis of the evolution of PE teacher education (PETE) in France since the end of the nineteenth century. It highlights three main points: the progressive unification and integration into university structures, the implementation of scientific research within the structures of PETE and the creation of a specific corporate body of teachers. Over the years, PETE has been torn between various social groups—i.e. the military, doctors, sportsmen, teachers, researchers. From this, PETE was built over tensions that still endure. When it became the ‘STAPS pathway’ in the 1980s, it showed a new face, that of a university discipline with marked scientific ambitions that did not correspond to the origins of PE teaching. The analysis endeavours to bring precise knowledge of the evolution of PETE in France, and it underlines the scientific questions that developed there.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied Lagrangian submanifolds foliated by (n − 1) -spheres in ℝ2n for n ≥ 3.
Abstract: We study Lagrangian submanifolds foliated by (n − 1)–spheres in ℝ2n for n ≥ 3. We give a general parametrization for such submanifolds, and refine that description when the submanifold is special Lagrangian, self–similar, Hamiltonian stationary or has mean curvature vector of constant length. In all these cases, the submanifold is centered, i.e. invariant under the action of SO(n). It suffices then to solve a simple ODE in two variables to describe the geometry of the solutions.

TL;DR: A quantitative study of three subsets X0, X1 and X2 in the three frames 0, 1 and 2 of eukaryotic protein genes shows that their occurrence frequencies are constant functions of the trinucleotide positions in the sequences, related to a new property of the C3 code X0 involving substitutions.

TL;DR: This work extends the study of the asymptotic limits of linear precoded OFDM systems with MMSE equalization for ergodic and non-ergodic channels to the MMSE successive interference cancellation detector with realistic channels and gives an explicit answer on the impact of the choice of certain types of spreading codes.
Abstract: Recent results on the asymptotic empirical eigenvalue distribution of the sum or product of matrices, based on the free probability theory, have enabled the study of the asymptotic limits of linear precoded OFDM systems with MMSE equalization for ergodic and non-ergodic channels. We extend these results to the MMSE successive interference cancellation detector with realistic channels and give an explicit answer on the impact of the choice of certain types of spreading codes.
