TL;DR: It can be concluded that RSSI is applicable, if the authors only take some measurements such as weight and mean value to eliminate the dynamic factors and show that measurement error is 2 meters within 15 meter.
Abstract: Wireless Sensor Networks,a novel technology about acquiring and processing information, have been proposed for a multitude of diverse applications.Range-based localization must measure distances between neighboring nodes.Received signal strength indication(RSSI),featuring low communication overhead and low complexity,is our basis of localization on the energy constrained sensor nodes. We first analyze the theory of distance measurement based on RSSI,and then validate that RSSI behavior is reproducible and suffers moderate but well-defined variations as a consequence of dynamic factors. Therefore,it can be concluded that RSSI is applicable,if we only take some measurements such as weight and mean value to eliminate the dynamic factors. The experiments show that measurement error is 2 meters within 15 meter.

TL;DR: This work analyzed low-energy adaptive clustering hierarchy (LEACH) and made improvement programs on it and showed the effectiveness of the improved algorithm and proved it is much better than LEACH in energy consumption and lifetime.
Abstract: Wireless sensor network′s data transmission from routing protocol, it is the network foundation. As WSN is a resource-constrained network, in particular, the limited energy, it must maintain smaller router information and reduce the energy consumption as much as possible. We introduced wireless sensor networks from its architecture、the protocol stack, network-level analysis. On the basis of full understanding of routing protocol, we analyzed low-energy adaptive clustering hierarchy (LEACH) and made improvement programs on it. Both of the algorithms were emulated in OPNET. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the improved algorithm and prove the improved algorithm is much better than LEACH in energy consumption and lifetime.

TL;DR: Based on Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI),a modified weighted centroid localization algorithm is presented that reduces the phenomenon of information drown, and the precision of localization is improved.
Abstract: Based on Received Signal Strength Indicator(RSSI),a modified weighted centroid localization algorithm is presented.Different from the former method, the sum of the reciprocal of each measured distance will be taken as the weight, instead of the reciprocal of sum.We also introduce a modified coefficient, which reduces the phenomenon of information drown, and the precision of localization is improved. The simulation result shows that the modified weighted centroid localization algorithm can provide an extra maximum precision gain of 17.83 %,compared with the former method.
