TLDR
In this paper, it was shown that the complex deformation of the same data can be represented by a function of same form but with different values for the constants, which can be interpreted as the decay of the distortion with time of the removal of stress field.

Dynamics of carbonyl-modified-epoxy/amine networks by FTIR and dielectric relaxation spectroscopy

Sasa Andjelic, +1 more
- 11 Nov 1998 -
TL;DR: In this paper, an epoxy prepolymer with a carbonyl group attached to the glycidyl ether moiety was used to determine how the molecular architecture of prepolymers affects the dynamics of epoxy/amine networks at various stages of cross-linking.
Journal ArticleDOI

A comparative study of the high-frequency dielectric properties of poly (alpha-glutamate) and poly (gamma-glutamate) aqueous solutions.

TL;DR: The influence of the polymer concentration in the dilute‐semidilute regime on the dielectric parameters is studied, and their relevance in the light of some scaling pictures recently proposed by Dobrynin, Colby, and Rubinstein to describe the unentangled regime of flexible polyelectrolyte solutions is discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of Polymer Chain Length on the Physical Stability of Amorphous Drug–Polymer Blends at Ambient Pressure

TL;DR: It is hypothesized that the polymer chain, depending on its length, can have different configurations in the space, leading to better or worse sample stabilization, and the value of free volume was the highest for blend with PVP K90, which at the same time was characterized by the greatest tendency to crystallize.
Journal ArticleDOI

All-silicone elastic composites with counter-intuitive piezoelectric response, designed for electromechanical applications

TL;DR: In this paper, the mechanical and dielectric properties of all-silicone composites were measured and discussed as a function of the nature and number of polar groups in the filler particles and in correlation with morphological aspects.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hydration dynamics of water near an amphiphilic model peptide at low hydration levels: a dielectric relaxation study.

TL;DR: The observations are consistent with results from molecular dynamics simulations for a similar model peptide reported in the literature and suggest that the slow relaxation mode is mainly founded in peptide-water dipolar couplings, with some additional contribution from slowly reorienting hydration water molecules.

Viscoelastic properties of polymers

John D. Ferry
TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe the nature of Viscoelastic behavior of polymeric systems and approximate relations among the linear Viscoels and approximate interrelations among the Viscelastic Functions.

Dispersion and Absorption in Dielectrics I. Alternating Current Characteristics

TL;DR: In this paper, the locus of the dielectric constant in the complex plane was defined to be a circular arc with end points on the axis of reals and center below this axis.

A treatise on the mathematical theory of elasticity

TL;DR: Webb's work on elasticity as mentioned in this paper is the outcome of a suggestion made to me some years ago by Mr R. R. Webb that I should assist him in the preparation of a work on Elasticity.
