TLDR
In this paper, it was shown that the complex deformation of the same data can be represented by a function of same form but with different values for the constants, which can be interpreted as the decay of the distortion with time of the removal of stress field.

Dielectric Relaxation Behavior of Amorphous Polymers and Related Materials

TL;DR: In this article, the authors concentrate on aspects of the dielectric relaxation behavior of amorphous solid polymers and related materials, and the relationship between multiple relaxation processes in such systems and physical phenomena such as non-isothermal relaxation of specific volume and specific heat.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pyroelectrical investigation of charged and poled nonlinear optical polymers

TL;DR: In this article, a compact and easy-to-use experimental set-up for pyroelectric investigations of poled nonlinear optical (NLO) polymers is reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

Viscoelasticity in associating oligomers and polymers: experimental test of the bond lifetime renormalization model

TL;DR: The separation between τc and τα* strongly increases with chain length as qualitatively predicted by the model, but to describe the increase quantitatively, a transition from Rouse to reptation dynamics must be assumed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Thermal and dielectric properties of glassy ionenes

TL;DR: The glass transition temperature, Tg, was found to be between 295 and 350 K depending on the structure of the polymer and the type of counterion, and dielectric properties were studied in the frequency range 10-107 Hz and in the temperature range − 170 as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dielectric Relaxations in Confined Hydrated Myoglobin

TL;DR: There is direct evidence that protein relaxations inside the gel depend on the hydration level and are "slaved" to the solvent beta-relaxation, as well as the effect of sol-gel encapsulation being essentially a suppression of cooperative relaxations that involve the coherence/cooperativity of solvent motions and solvent-coupled protein dynamics.

Viscoelastic properties of polymers

John D. Ferry
TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe the nature of Viscoelastic behavior of polymeric systems and approximate relations among the linear Viscoels and approximate interrelations among the Viscelastic Functions.

Dispersion and Absorption in Dielectrics I. Alternating Current Characteristics

TL;DR: In this paper, the locus of the dielectric constant in the complex plane was defined to be a circular arc with end points on the axis of reals and center below this axis.

A treatise on the mathematical theory of elasticity

TL;DR: Webb's work on elasticity as mentioned in this paper is the outcome of a suggestion made to me some years ago by Mr R. R. Webb that I should assist him in the preparation of a work on Elasticity.
