A simple aqueous phase synthesis of high surface area aluminum fluoride and its bulk and surface structure

TLDR
In this paper, a simple synthesis route to aluminum fluoride, AlF 3, from aqueous phase is reported, where Al 2 O 3 is dissolved in aqueously hydrofluoric acid, HF, and re-precipitated as Al F 3 ǫ · 3H 2 O, with high specific surface areas between 120 and 60m 2 /g depending on treatment temperatures.

Defluoridation from aqueous solutions by nano-alumina : Characterization and sorption studies

TL;DR: The present study evaluated the feasibility of nano-alumina (Al(2)O(3)) for fluoride adsorption from aqueous solutions for fluoride removal by SEM with EDX, XRD, and FTIR analysis and found it to be well explained using Langmuir isotherm model.

Research on removal of fluoride in aqueous solution by alumina-modified expanded graphite composite

TL;DR: Amorphous Alumina-modified Expanded Graphite (Al2O3/EG) composite was prepared via a facile solution method followed by thermal treatment at 450°C for 2-h, which was used to remove trace F− in aqueous solution.

The effect of Al 2 O 3 -coating coverage on the electrochemical properties in LiCoO 2 thin films

TL;DR: In this paper, the electrochemical properties of nanoscale Al2O3-coated LiCoO2 thin films were examined as a function of the coating coverage, which was attributed to the suppression of Co dissolution and F− concentration in the electrolyte.

Removal of fluoride from water using aluminium containing compounds

TL;DR: Thermodynamic parameters and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) analysis and X-ray diffraction patterns of the adsorbent before and after adsorption indicated that fluoride ions were chemisorbed by these adsorbents.

The Effect of AlPO4-Coating Layer on the Electrochemical Properties in LiCoO2 Thin Films

TL;DR: In this paper, LiCoO 2 with AlPO 4 -coated thin films showed electrochemical properties superior to those of bare LiCo 2 thin films, which was attributed to the nanostructures of the AlPO4 -coating layer, and interdiffusion at the interface between the LiCo2 and the nanoscale-coating layers.
