Synthesis and characterisation of mercaptoimidazole, mercaptopyrimidine and mercaptopyridine complexes of platinum(II) and platinum(III). The crystal and molecular structures of tetra(2-mercaptobenzimidazole)- and tetra(2-mercaptoimidazole)platinum(II) chloride

TL;DR: In this article, K2[PtCl4] with 2-captobenzimidazole (HL2) and 2-mercaptoimidaze (HL3) in aqueous ethanol gave the new, crystalline, square-planar platinum(II) complexes [Pt(HL 2)4]Cl2EtOH (4) and [Ptp(HL 3]Cl22H2O (5), the crystal and molecular structures of which are reported in both complexes the ligands are present in the thione form

The nature of the chemical bond in linear three-body systems: from i3- to mixed chalcogen/halogen and trichalcogen moieties.

TL;DR: The existence of correlations between the two bond distances and more importantly the linearity observed for all these systems, independently on the degree of their asymmetry, support the state of hypervalency of the central atom.

A study of cis-octahedral compounds of tin(IV) halides with thiourea or urea type ligands

TL;DR: In this article, the crystal structures of two of the compounds are reported and the crystal structure determination of SnBr4 2(1,3-diethylthiourea) has been limited to the nearest atoms of the tin centre.

Te(CS(NH2)2)4SO4·2H2O: A Three-in-One Semiorganic Nonlinear Optical Crystal with an Unusual Quadrilateral (TeS4)6– Chromophore

TL;DR: The first tellurium(II) thiourea sulfate semiorganic nonlinear optical (NLO) material, Te(CS(NH2)(2))(4)SO4 center dot 2H(2)O, was successfully obtained using the slow evaporation technique as mentioned in this paper.

Arylbis(thiosemicarbazone)tellurium(II) chlorides; three coordinate tellurium(II) complexes

TL;DR: Three coordinate tellurium(II) complexes of the type [ArTe(XTSC) 2 ]Cl, where Ar = C 6 H 5, 4-HOC 6 H 4 or 4-CH 3 OC 6H 4 as discussed by the authors, have been synthesized by treating ArTeCl 3 with the thiosemicarbazones in aqueous methanol.
