TLDR
In this paper, an appropriate isotherm for the adsorption of benzotriazole on to copper surfaces from ammonium chloride solutions is presented, which has taken into account the relative size factor.
Abstract
An appropriate adsorption isotherm for the adsorption of benzotriazole on to copper surfaces from ammonium chloride solutions is presented. The analysis, which has taken into account the relative size factor, leads to the appropriate isotherm being that due to Frumkin. Some thermodynamic parameters of the adsorption isotherm are thus evaluated.

The inhibition of benzimidazole derivatives on corrosion of iron in 1 M HCl solutions

TL;DR: In this paper, the inhibitive action of some benzimidazole derivatives against the corrosion of iron (99.9999%) in solutions of hydrochloric acid has been studied using potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS).

Review of corrosive environments for copper and its corrosion inhibitors

TL;DR: In this article, the main part of this work is to investigate different corrosive environments for copper and its alloys and their corrosion inhibitors used in such environments to protect copper, according to the literature, the corrosion inhibition behavior of organic corrosion inhibitors and their derivatives in comparison with inorganic ones are further evaluated.

A new triazole derivative as inhibitor of the acid corrosion of mild steel: electrochemical studies, weight loss determination, SEM and XPS

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of addition of 2[5-(2-pyridyl)-1,2,4-triazol-3-yl] phenol (PPT) on mild steel dissolution in 1 M hydrochloric acid is studied through electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), potentiodynamic polarisation curves and gravimetric measurements.

Understanding the adsorption of 4H-1,2,4-triazole derivatives on mild steel surface in molar hydrochloric acid

TL;DR: In this article, the use of 4H-triazole derivatives for corrosion and dissolution protection of mild steel in normal hydrochloric acid solution was examined by means of weight loss and electrochemical techniques such as ac impedance measurements and polarisation curves.

The adsorption of gases on plane surfaces of glass, mica and platinum.

TL;DR: In this article, the absorption index at the wave length of the band maximum was found to be proportional to the total concentration of metal at shorter wave lengths, however, deviations were observed, the absorption increasing more rapidly with concentration than Beers' law would demand.

Reflection Infra-red Studies of Films Formed by Benzotriazole on Cu

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors showed that the protective films formed on Cu by benzotriazole were composed of a highly inert Cu benzotitriazolate (CuBTA) polymer.

The inhibition by quinolines and thioureas of the acid dissolution of mild steel

TL;DR: In this paper, the dissolution of mild steel by warm sulphuric acid with and without organic inhibiting additions has been studied by means of simultaneous measurements of corrosion rate and corrosion potential, and by the determination of true anodic and cathodic polarization curves in the neighbourhood of the natural corrosion potential.
