TLDR
A simple Doppler radar with tracking capability has been implemented using the active antenna concept, and if the free-running oscillating signals and the injection signal can be synchronized to produce an FM signal, the system is then capable of ranging as well.
Abstract
A simple Doppler radar with tracking capability has been implemented using the active antenna concept. The performance of the radar has been measured and found to be reasonable. If the free-running oscillating signals and the injection signal can be synchronized to produce an FM signal, the antenna main beam will be maintained at broadside and the system is then capable of ranging as well.

Injection locking of microwave solid-state oscillators

TL;DR: Injection locking of microwave solid-state oscillators is discussed in this article, based on the familiar theorem that the total impedance times the current is equal to the applied voltage, based on which the locking range, large-signal injection, locking stability, and AM and FM noise are analyzed.

Inter-Injection-Locked Oscillators for Power Combining and Phased Arrays

TL;DR: In this article, an approach to synchronizing the phases of several oscillators for coherent power combining either in a conventional power-combining circuit or in free space as each oscillator drives an antenna element in a phased array is presented.

Spatial power combining using push-pull FET oscillators with microstrip patch resonators

J. Birkeland, +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the design and performance of spatial power combining arrays of FET oscillators are described, where individual oscillators consist of single microstrip patches driven by two FETs oscillating in the push-pull mode.

A unilateral injection-locking type active phased array for beam scanning

TL;DR: In this article, an active phased array using unilateral injection-locked oscillators was developed, where the phase shift was controlled by electronic tuning and the beam scanning was demonstrated, and the Amplifiers inserted between oscillators eliminated reverse injection locking and control the locking bandwidth.

A microwave non-contact identification transponder using subharmonic interrogation

TL;DR: In this article, a credit card sized microwave transponder is presented for wireless key and surveillance applications based on a subharmonically pumped quasi-optical mixer, which is activated by a C-band interrogation beam to upconvert and radiate a digitally modulated identification tone at X-band frequencies nonharmonic related to the interrogation signal.
