TLDR
In this article, it is emphasized that the Mossbauer spectra of 57Fe nuclei subjected to a combined magnetic dipole- and electric quadrupole interaction cannot give a unique solution for all parameters involved in these interactions, even if intensities are taken into account.
Abstract
It is emphasized that Mossbauer spectra of57Fe nuclei subjected to a combined magnetic dipole- and electric quadrupole interaction cannot give a unique solution for all parameters involved in these interactions, even if intensities are taken into account. Expressions are derived with which the full range of possible solutions can be calculated and we apply these to some recently published results in which the ambiguity was not recognized.

A computer programme for the evaluation of Mössbauer data

TL;DR: In this article, a high speed Mossbauer fitting program with general applicability is described, which uses transmission integral procedures, full Hamiltonian diagnonalisation for arbitrary spins, magnetic field distribution analysis to the first order, single or polycrystalline intensity calculation for arbitrary (mixed) transitions, and the option to include Goldanskii-Karyagin or texture effects.

Cation ordering in Ni-Fe olivines

TL;DR: In this paper, synthetic nickel-iron olivines, equilibrated at 1000 degrees C, were investigated by means of Moessbauer spectroscopy at high and low temperature.

A Mössbauer study of green rust precipitates: I. Preparations from sulphate solutions

TL;DR: In this paper, the preparation of green rusts from sulphate solutions and representative M6ssbauer spectra are described, where the authors focus on the M6sbauer parameters at liquid nitrogen and helium temperatures and show that the linewidth of the site at 77 K is slightly larger than that for iron metal and could be explained by a variation in the number of near Fe 3+ neighbours at different Fe e+ sites, consistent with the assumption that the ferrous iron site is in the hydroxide sheet.

Magnetism and charge ordering in Fe 3 O 2 BO 3 studied by Fe 57 Mössbauer spectroscopy

TL;DR: In this article, the M\"ossbauer spectra were used to study the magnetic spin arrangements and charge ordering of the homometallic ludwigite with a chain structure of oxygen octahedra.

57Fe Mossbauer study of hexagonal phase iron alloys

TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied the HCP ( epsilon phase) alloys of Fe with Ru and Os, containing 15 and 30 at.% of the alloying element, using 57Fe Mossbauer absorption spectroscopy.

Evaluation of Mössbauer spectra for 57Fe

TL;DR: In this paper, a Fortran program is described which computes the expected Mossbauer spectra of 57 Fe for any combination of a magnetic field, H (0) and an electrical field gradient, EFG.

The ambiguity problem in the evaluation of Mössbauer spectra for 57Fe

TL;DR: In this article, the nuclear energy levels of 57Fe and hf parameters of ME spectra were discussed and it was shown that in a general case there is more than one value of each of the EFG parameters which gives the same spectrum for a powder sample.

Hyperfine interactions at Fe 57 in Fe 2 + -doped MnC O 3

TL;DR: In this article, the results have been interpreted in terms of the interactions between the magnetic crystal and a single ferrous ion, and support a model proposed recently for this system in which the spins are reoriented in the presence of the ferrous ions due to their large single ion anisotropy in the trigonal crystal field.

Mossbauer Study of Magnetic States of KFeF3 and Implications for RbFeF3.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used the Mossbauer absorption spectra of a single-crystal platelet of KFe${\mathrm{F}}_{3}$ to show that the spin alignment is parallel to the 〈100〉 direction rather than the predicted previously by use of the magnetically induced EFG model.
