Removal of hazardous pharmaceutical dyes by adsorption onto papaya seeds
Caroline Trevisan Weber,Gabriela Carvalho Collazzo,Marcio A. Mazutti,Edson Luiz Foletto,Guilherme Luiz Dotto +4 more
TL;DR: It was found that papaya seeds can be used as an alternative adsorbent to remove pharmaceutical dyes from aqueous solutions and the equilibrium was well represented by the Langmuir model.
Journal ArticleDOI
Novel diamino-functionalized fibrous silica submicro-spheres with a bimodal-micro-mesoporous network: Ultrasonic-assisted fabrication, characterization, and their application for superior uptake of Congo red
TL;DR: In this paper, diamino-functionalized KCC-1 with micro-mesostructured fibers was used as an adsorbent for dye removal from water for the first time and Congo red was chosen as a model compound.
Journal ArticleDOI
Simultaneous ultrasonic-assisted removal of malachite green and methylene blue from aqueous solution by Zr-SBA-15
TL;DR: In this paper, simultaneous and competitive removal of methylene blue (MB) and malachite green (MG) dyes was performed by employing nanostructure Zr-SBA-15, once using solid phase extraction method (SPE) and again using ultrasonic bath, followed by second-order derivative spectrophotometric method in order to resolve the corresponding overlapped spectra.
