TLDR
In this article, an ion-association multicomponent equilibrium model and the application of an ioninteraction model developed by Pitzer were used to simulate the distribution and concentration of chemical species (speciation) in sulfuric acid-cupric sulfate solutions in the 0-200 g / l H 2 SO 4 and 0- 50 g/ l Cu(II) concentration range and 15-70°C temperature range.

pH-related equilibria models for biosorption in single metal systems

TL;DR: In this article, two original models were used to represent the experimental data of copper and cadmium biosorption onto Sphaerotilus natans in different operative conditions of pH and biomass concentration.

Biosorption of heavy metals and radionuclide from aqueous solutions by pre-treated arca shell biomass.

TL;DR: Biosorption potential of pre-treated arca shell biomass for lead, copper, nickel, cobalt and cesium was explored from the artificially prepared solution containing known amount of metals and it was observed that relative standard deviation in uptake capacity was within 10% for all elements.

Recovery of copper from process waters by nanofiltration and reverse osmosis

TL;DR: In this article, the copper rejection of a nanofiltration (NF) and a reverse osmosis (RO) membrane is investigated with coppersulfate and copper-nitrate solutions as test wastewaters.

Local composition model for excess Gibbs energy of electrolyte systems. Part I: Single solvent, single completely dissociated electrolyte systems

TL;DR: In this paper, an electrolyte local composition model is developed for excess Gibbs energy, which is assumed to be the sum of two contributions, one resulting from long range electrostatic forces between ions and the other from short range forces between all the species.
