TLDR
In this paper, the degree of stretching of polyacetylene was determined from the angle dependence of the ESR linewidth of stretched polyacetylacetylene, and the orientation was preserved during isomerization.

Structure and Electrical Properties of Polyacetylene Yielding a Conductivity of 10 5 S/cm

TL;DR: In this article, the authors have prepared polyacetylene (ν-(CH)x) yielding a conductivity of more than 105 S/cm, by making some modifications on Naarmann et al.'s method, which may suggest the formation of a staging structure and/or the transformation to metallic phase.

Synthesis of polyacetylene films with high density and high mechanical strength

TL;DR: In this article, the first time synthesis of high density and high mechanical strength polyacetylene films has been reported, which is comparable to those of well-known engineering plastics such as Kevlar (132 and 3.9 GPa, respectively).

Charge transport in conducting polymers

TL;DR: In this paper, experimental data on the electrical conductivity of conducting polymers is reviewed and the conductivity is studied as a function of doping level, temperature, frequency and conjugation length.

Electron spin resonance spectrum of stretched polyethylene

TL;DR: In this article, the ESR spectrum of stretched polyethylene, irradiated at 77°K, has been observed at various orientations of the applied magnetic field with respect to the axis of stretch.
