TLDR
In this paper, the interaction of oxygen with CdSe surfaces has been studied with thin films of cdSe evaporated in ultra high vacuum in the temperature range 0-360°C and pressure range 10−4−10mm Hg.

Probing the interactions of single CdSe quantum dots with their local environment

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the fluorescence blinking of single CdSe/ZnS nanocrystals under different experimental conditions and showed that the blinking process is very sensitive to the particle environment even if the nanoparticles are covered with a few monolayers of ZnS. Especially the presence of oxygen leads to shortening of the on-times but leaves the off-times almost unaffected.

Time dependent electrical resistance of Bi2(Te0.4Se0.6)3 thin films in vacuum and on exposure to atmosphere

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors measured electrical resistance in vacuum (2×10 −5 ǫ) as a function of time and found that the resistance increased as pressure increased, and the resistance varied with the altitude of the vacuum chamber.

Time-resolved charge injection: Effect of interfacial ambients upon contact performance

TL;DR: In this paper, a new technique was developed which directly measured carrier transport through the interfacial region at metal-semiconductor (M•S) contacts, determined by measuring with fast time resolution the initial rate of decay of surface potential as charge at the surface is injected.

Defects in Cadmium Selenide Single Crystals

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of lattice defects produced by electron irradiations and firing in Cd vapor on the photoelectric properties of CdSe have been investigated, and it is considered that the persistent photoconductivity is induced by a lattice defect produced either by firing in the Cd atmosphere and by EI, and that these defects are annealed out at 350°K.

Effects of Electronic Charge Transfer between Adsorbate and Solid on Chemisorption and Catalysis

TL;DR: In this paper, the boundary layer theory was applied to derive the form of relationships for the extent, heats, and rates of chemisorption and some consequences with respect to catalysis.

Zinc Oxide Photoconduction, an Oxygen Adsorption Process

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied the photoconductive rise and decay curves of porous sintered zinc oxide as a function of time (0.3 to 107 sec), ambient oxygen pressure (5×10 −5 to 760 mm), temperature (110° to 373°K), incident light intensity (factor of 103), and various cycling procedures in regard to illumination.
