In this article, a simple derivation of a complete set of sum rules implied by crossing symmetry on partial-wave amplitudes is given and the set is shown to be equivalent to the Balachandran-Nuyts crossing relations for partial wave amplitudes.
Abstract
A very simple derivation of a complete set of sum rules implied by crossing symmetry on partial-wave amplitudes is given This set is shown to be equivalent to the Balachandran-Nuyts crossing relations for partial-wave amplitudes Many applications to dynamical models are proposed and discussed, and it is shown in particular that the Pade treatment of theλϕ4 theory for ππ scattering yields extremely good agreement with crossing symmetry

The Padé Approximation and its Physical Applications

J.L. Basdevant
- 01 Jan 1972 -
TL;DR: The Pade approximation, its mathematical features, and its practical and physical applications are reviewed in this article, where the present status of the convergence problem is described and various proofs of convergence are discussed.

Crossing and physical partial-wave amplitudes

TL;DR: In this article, the implications of crossing and analyticity properties on partial-wave amplitudes in the physical region were studied. And the results gave strong support to the model of Le Guillou, Morel and Navelet for ππs-waves.

Partial Wave Crossing Relations for Meson-Baryon Scattering

TL;DR: In this article, three different types of relations for meson-baryon partial wave amplitudes following from the s ↔ u crossing symmetry of the invariant amplitudes are investigated.

Unambiguous ππS-Waves from general principles and the existence of the ρ-meson

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a calculation of S-wave ππ amplitudes based upon known rigorous results due to analyticity, unitarity and crossing symmetry; inequalities and crossing sum rules.

Neutrino tomography: Tevatron mapping versus the neutrino sky

Thomas L. Wilson
- 03 May 1984 -
TL;DR: The feasibility of neutrino tomography of the earth's interior is discussed in this article, taking the 80-GeV W-boson mass determined by Arnison and Banner into account.

Kinematical singularities, crossing matrix and kinematical constraints for two-body helicity amplitudes

TL;DR: In this paper, a crossing matrix for regularized helicity amplitudes, corresponding to the continuation path used to cross spinor amplitudes is written down, and the corresponding crossing matrix is uniform, as it should be.

Renormalization of the σ-model

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors considered the renormalization of the σ-model in the absence of the baryon fields, and showed that all divergences of the theory may be absorbed in two constants, the mass and the coupling constant.

Geometrical restrictions on the pion-pion partial waves

TL;DR: In this article, various rigorous inequalities on pion-pion partial waves in the interval 0≤s≤4 are obtained from crossing symmetry and positivity properties due to unitarity.

Currents and symmetry breaking

TL;DR: In this article, a meson mass breaking mechanism was introduced by postulating that some of the vacuum expectation values of the scalar field operators do not vanish, and the meson nonets satisfy broken partial-conservation equations which agree with the postulates of weak interactions.
