Abstract
A low cost data acquisition system for electrochemical cells has been devised on the basis of the new microprocessor computer generation with IEC-BUS interface connections. This modular structure allows the application and extension of the proposed system to all IEC-BUS† compatible measuring apparatus. Our special interest was focused on the control of experiments with a large data flow like impedance spectroscopy as well as long time experiments like the temperature dependence of a cell e.m.f. Beside this, experiments like d.c.-conductivity, discharge characteristics and current-voltage curves can easily be carried out. The programs have been developed in a way which allows an application of the system in scientific laboratories as well as in the routine quality control of electrochemical device production.

Phase transition in nasicon (Na3Zr2Si2PO12)

TL;DR: A second order phase transition has been found in Na3Zr2Si2PO12 by three independent techniques as mentioned in this paper, including ac-impedance and X-ray diffraction powder patterns, and specific heat measurements showed a clear indication of a phase transition at 420 K with ΔH = 2.07 kJ mol−1.

Li3N: A promising Li ionic conductor

TL;DR: In this article, Li 3 N is presented as one of the best solid lithium electrolytes available today and its outstanding advantages are simple preparation of crystalline as well as sintered material, stability in moist atmosphere because of a protecting surface layer, stability with elemental lithium metal up to its melting point of 813°C, high Li-ion conductivity of the order of 10 −3 Ω −1 cm −1 at ambient temperature with negligible partial electronic conductivity, and a high decomposition voltage due to a strong kinetic hindrance of the decomposition reaction.

Electrochemistry of Na2SO4 (I) solid solutions with aliovalent cation substitution

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used complex impedance diagrams to determine the influence of the vacancy concentration on the ionic conductivity of Na 2 SO 4 (I) solid solutions, and found that the conductivity is strongly correlated to the vacancy concentrations, whereas the size and charge of the substituting ions show no effect within the accuracy of the measurements.

Proton conduction in zeolites

TL;DR: In this paper, a vehicle-mechanism for the transport of zeolites is proposed based on an optimized protonic conduction in a fully hydrated NH4-zeolite A.

Proton conductivity in the layer compound H 3 OUO 2 AsO 4 ·3H 2 O (HU As)

TL;DR: In this paper, the proton conductivity in H3OUO2AsO4·3H2O (HUAs) has been measured below the transition temperature at 299 K. The conductivity is proposed to occur by the vehicle mechanism of proton transport, i.e., the cooperative motion of H3O+ and H2O.

Ionic conductivity in Li3N single crystals

TL;DR: In this paper, Li ionic conductivity of Czochralski−grown Li3N single crystals using electrochemical transport measurements is reported. But the results are not comparable with the best data reported for Li β−alumina single crystals.

On the measurement of impurity atom distributions in silicon by the differential capacitance technique

TL;DR: In this paper, a mathematical analysis on the measurement of an impurity atom distribution in silicon by the differential capacitance technique is presented, and it is shown that the measurement is applicable only in regions of semiconductor material exhibiting charge neutrality.

A method for automatic impedance measurement and analysis

TL;DR: In this paper, an experimental arrangement for sequential impedance measurements is described, which has an experimental time comparable to that of techniques using integral transforms, and a computer analysis of the data is also described.

Structural Aspects and High Partial Cu+-ionic Conductivity in Compounds of CuTeX (X=Cl,Br,I)

TL;DR: In this paper, a-c conductivity measurements and d-c polarization measurements have been performed for the isotypic series CuTeX (X=Cl,Br,I) compounds and the results showed that the electronic contribution to the conductivity was at least more than one order of magnitude below the value of the total conductivity in the case of CuTeI.

TL;DR: In this paper, the neglection of various experimental factors inherent in the phase sensitive detection equipment can lead to errors, and several guidelines are given on the detection of certain types of errors.
