TLDR
In this paper, the authors propose a data transmission system between two transceivers, including: dividing the symbols to be transmitted into blocks, the number of which is divisible by the total number of transmitting antennas; transmitting one block using each antenna; receiving the blocks using one or more antennas; checking whether the blocks were received successfully; storing the received blocks in memory; retransmitting the same blocks in a predetermined format.Abstract:
The invention relates to a data transmission system between two transceivers, including: dividing the symbols to be transmitted into blocks, the number of which is divisible by the number of transmitting antennas; transmitting one block using each antenna; receiving the blocks using one or more antennas; checking whether the blocks were received successfully; and, if the reception of the blocks failed, storing the received blocks in memory; retransmitting the same blocks in a predetermined format; receiving the retransmitted blocks and combining them with the blocks in memory, the predetermined format being selected in the method so that the blocks transmitted first and the retransmitted blocks form space-time block coding.read more

Method and system of retransmission
Stefan Parkvall,Johan Torsner +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a method and system of transmissions and retransmissions of packet data in a communications system, where the communications system uses switched channels, switching between rates or channels of different characteristics, and connection control and management in such a system.

Radio packet communication method
Kazuyoshi Saito,Tomoaki Kumagai,Shinya Otsuki,Kengo Nagata,Satoru Aikawa,Atsushi Ohta,Akinori Hirukawa +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a plurality of data packets that contain sequence numbers are transmitted simultaneously between two STAs by using a wireless channel and MIMO, and a single ACK packet containing information that corresponds to a sequence number of each data packet successfully received is transmitted to a transmit-side STA.

Incremental redundancy transmission in a mimo communication system
TL;DR: In this article, an incremental redundancy (IR) transmission in a MIMO system is considered, where the receiver detects a received symbol block to obtain a detected symbol block, processes all detected symbol blocks obtained for the data packet, and provides a decoded packet.

Incremental redundancy transmission for multiple parallel channels in a mimo communication system
TL;DR: In this paper, an incremental redundancy transmission on multiple parallel channels in a MIMO system is considered, where the receiver performs detection and obtains symbol blocks transmitted on the parallel channels independently or in a designated order.

Packet retransmission for mimo systems using multipath transmission
TL;DR: In this article, a data packet is forwarded by one or more repeaters within the network and the repeaters assume responsibility for originating re-transmissions of the packet if the packet is not correctly received by the destination receiver.

Space-time block codes from orthogonal designs
TL;DR: A generalization of orthogonal designs is shown to provide space-time block codes for both real and complex constellations for any number of transmit antennas and it is shown that many of the codes presented here are optimal in this sense.

Layered space-time architecture for wireless communication in a fading environment when using multi-element antennas
TL;DR: This paper addresses digital communication in a Rayleigh fading environment when the channel characteristic is unknown at the transmitter but is known (tracked) at the receiver with the aim of leveraging the already highly developed 1-D codec technology.

Space-time block codes: a capacity perspective
S. Sandhu,Arogyaswami Paulraj +1 more
TL;DR: Although space-time block codes provide full diversity at low computational costs, it is shown that they incur a loss in capacity because they convert the matrix channel into a scalar AWGN channel whose capacity is smaller than the true channel capacity.

Method and apparatus for efficient data transmission in a voice-over-data communication system
TL;DR: In this article, the authors propose a method and apparatus for increasing the probability of successful data frame transmission from a transmitter to a receiver. But their method requires the data frame to be generated by a processor, which increases the redundancy of transmitted data frames.
