TLDR
In this paper, the demagnetizing factors of ellipsoids of three different axes are presented, along with supplementary formulas which cover a large number of special cases of ellipses.Abstract:
Charts and tables of the demagnetizing factors of prolate and oblate spheroids are readily available; however, demagnetizing factors of ellipsoids of three different axes are incompletely tabulated and laborious to calculate. This article presents charts and tables which make possible easy determination of the demagnetizing factor for any principal axis of an ellipsoid of any shape. Formulas for the demagnetizing factors of the general ellipsoid are included together with supplementary formulas which cover a large number of special cases.read more

Determination of the anisotropy constant and saturation magnetization of magnetic nanoparticles from magnetization relaxation curves
I. A. Volkov,M. L. Chukharkin,O.V. Snigirev,Alexander P. Volkov,Saburo Tanaka,Coenrad J. Fourie +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors developed a new method for the determination of the anisotropy constant and saturation magnetization of magnetic nanoparticles using the approximation of magnetization relaxation curves measured upon application and further fast switching off the dc magnetizing field.

Stability of concentrated aqueous clay–magnetite suspensions
TL;DR: In this article, the sedimentation behavior in concentrated suspensions of magnetite-covered clay particles was studied by adhesion of synthetic magnetite nanoparticles on sodium montmorillonite platelets in aqueous solution at pH 3 and 2.5 mM NaNO 3 ionic strength.

Consideration for the Dynamic Depolarization in the Effective-Medium Model for Description of Optical Properties for Anisotropic Nanostructured Semiconductors
TL;DR: In this paper, the effective medium model has been generalized within the dipole approximation, with allowance for the shape anisotropy and dynamic depolarization of semiconductor nanoparticles, revealing nonmonotonic dependences for the birefringence and dichroism on the nanoparticle size.
