Detailed investigation of the lattice structure of zeolite ZSM-11 by a combination of solid-state NMR and synchrotron x-ray diffraction techniques

TLDR
The lattice structure of a pure and completely siliceous sample of zeolite ZSM-11 has been investigated by a combination of high-resolution solid-state {sup 29}Si MAS NMR and synchrotron-based X-ray powder diffraction techniques.
Abstract
The lattice structure of a pure and completely siliceous sample of zeolite ZSM-11 has been investigated by a combination of high-resolution solid-state {sup 29}Si MAS NMR and synchrotron-based X-ray powder diffraction techniques. The structure is temperature dependent in the range 263-363 K and a good fit to the diffraction data at 363 K is obtained with space group I{anti 4}m2 and a{sub 0} = 20.067 (1) and c{sub 0} = 13.411 (1). At room temperature the XRD data cannot be refined as the structure is intermediate and the lattice structure of the limiting low-temperature, low-symmetry form will only be deduced from data collected at 263 K.

Synthesis of self-pillared zeolite nanosheets by repetitive branching.

TL;DR: Zhang et al. (p. 1684) show that a hierarchical zeolite can be made through a simple process using a single structure-directing agent that causes repetitive branching, which leads to a material with improved transport and catalytic properties.

The structure-controlling role of organic templates for the synthesis of porosils in the systems SiO2/template/H2O

TL;DR: In this paper, the structure-controlling role of organic molecules added as templates was investigated in the simplified system SiO2/template/H2O, where sixty-one molecules different in size, shape, and chemical character were used to synthesize 13 different silica host frameworks.

Synthesis and catalytic properties of crystalline, microporous vanadium silicates with MEL structure

TL;DR: In this paper, a thermally stable vanadium-containing silicate with the MEL structure has been prepared by hydrothermal crystallization, and a plausible environment of vanadium at defect sites in the mEL lattice is suggested.

Relation of Catalytic Performance to the Aluminum Siting of Acidic Zeolites in the Conversion of Methanol to Olefins, Viewed via a Comparison between ZSM-5 and ZSM-11

TL;DR: In this article, a detailed investigation showed that it is the different Al distribution in the ZSM-5 and ZSM11 framework that causes the significant difference in MTO catalytic performance.
