The Role of Surface Tension in the Crystallization of Metal Halide Perovskites
Ayan A. Zhumekenov,Victor M. Burlakov,Makhsud I. Saidaminov,Abdulilah Alofi,Azimul Haque,Bekir Turedi,Bambar Davaasuren,Ibrahim Dursun,Namchul Cho,Ahmed M. El-Zohry,Michele De Bastiani,Andrea Giugni,Bruno Torre,Enzo Di Fabrizio,Omar F. Mohammed,Alexander Rothenberger,Tom Wu,Alain Goriely,Osman M. Bakr +18 more
TL;DR: In this paper, surface tension was exploited to direct the growth of monocrystalline films of perovskites (AMX3), where A = CH3NH3+ or MA; M = Pb2+, Sn2+; X = Br−, I−) on the solution surface.

Imaging single-molecule reaction intermediates stabilized by surface dissipation and entropy
Alexander Riss,Alexander Riss,Alejandro Pérez Paz,Sebastian Wickenburg,Sebastian Wickenburg,Hsin-Zon Tsai,Dimas G. de Oteyza,Dimas G. de Oteyza,Dimas G. de Oteyza,Aaron J. Bradley,Miguel M. Ugeda,Miguel M. Ugeda,Patrick Gorman,Han Sae Jung,Michael F. Crommie,Michael F. Crommie,Angel Rubio,Angel Rubio,Felix R. Fischer,Felix R. Fischer +19 more
TL;DR: Theoretical simulations indicate that the kinetic stabilization of experimentally observable intermediates is determined not only by the potential-energy landscape, but also by selective energy dissipation to the substrate and entropic changes associated with key transformations along the reaction pathway.
Journal ArticleDOI
Ionic channels in biological membranes- electrostatic analysis of a natural nanotube
TL;DR: A simple theory of ion permeation through a channel is presented, in which diffusion occurs according to Fick's law and drift according to Ohm's law, in the electric field determined by all the charges present.
Journal ArticleDOI
A big-microsite framework for soil carbon modeling.
TL;DR: Why a similar core model structure for heterotrophic soil respiration remains elusive is explored and how a pathway to that goal might be envisioned is envisioned.
Journal ArticleDOI
Remarkable shape memory effect of a natural biopolymer in aqueous environment
Zisen Liu,Da Jiao,Z.F. Zhang +2 more
TL;DR: A kinetic model developed from non-equilibrium thermodynamic fluctuation theory was adopted to describe the shape recovery process by considering the viscoelastic relaxation and mechanisms were explored based on the lubrication, swelling effect and structural changes of macromolecular chains or segments in terms of their mobility.
