Structure and properties of alkaline earth borate glasses
TL;DR: In this article, a study of mid infrared and Raman spectra of alkaline earth borate glasses xMO(1-x)B 2 O 3 (0.15≤x≤0.55) has shown that for M=Ca, Sr and Ba the network is composed of borate arrangements containing charged BO - 4 tetrahedra (O=bridging oxygen atom) and BO 2 O - triangles as well as neutral BO 3 units.
