TLDR
Abstract

Tansley Review No. 76 Helper bacteria: a new dimension to the mycorrhizal symbiosis

TL;DR: A number of fundamental questions which remain unanswered about mycorrhization helper bacteria are pointed out and some investigation priorities are suggested in this new field of myCorrhiza research.

Metabolic and Genotypic Fingerprinting of Fluorescent Pseudomonads Associated with the Douglas Fir-Laccaria bicolor Mycorrhizosphere.

TL;DR: The results suggest that L. bicolor exerts a trehalose-mediated selection on the fluorescent pseudomonads present in the vicinity of the mycorrhizas.

Biological interactions in the mycorrhizosphere

TL;DR: The significance of biological interactions in the mycorrhizosphere is considered from the standpoints of plant ecology and of practical application.

Competition between Tuber melanosporum and other ectomycorrhizal fungi, under two irrigation regimes

TL;DR: A glasshouse experiment was conducted to simulate the competition between artificially introduced Tuber melanosporum (Vitt.) and other symbionts, occurring on outplanted truffle-producing trees, and found that Tuber brumale stimulates the development of T. melanospora under these conditions.
