Entropy Evaluation of the Superprotonic Phase of CsHSO4: Pauling's Ice Rules Adjusted for Systems Containing Disordered Hydrogen-Bonded Tetrahedra
TL;DR: In this paper, the superprotonic transition (phase II → phase I) of CsHSO is evaluated both experimentally and theoretically, and it is shown that the transition entropy is 14.75(22) J mol Ω(Ω¹ K ¼ K¼ K ¾ ) for the hydrogen-bond network.
Journal ArticleDOI
Opportunities for intermediate temperature renewable ammonia electrosynthesis
Carlos A. Fernandez,Nicholas Hortance,Yu Hsuan Liu,JeongHoon Lim,Kelsey B. Hatzell,Marta C. Hatzell +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors outline the performance targets achievable for renewable ammonia produced through intermediate temperature electrosynthesis and highlight the thermodynamic and kinetic challenges, highlighting the optimum expected rate of production and energy efficiency.
Journal ArticleDOI
New superprotonic crystals with dynamically disordered hydrogen bonds: cation replacements as the alternative to temperature increase
E. V. Selezneva,I. P. Makarova,Inna A. Malyshkina,N. D. Gavrilova,V. V. Grebenev,V. K. Novik,V. A. Komornikov +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the atomic structure of (NH4)3H(SO4)2 crystals was determined at room temperature taking H atoms into account, and it has been determined that [K 0.43(NH 4)0.57]3H[SO4]2 crystals are trigonal at ambient conditions such as the superprotonic phase of [NH4](SO 4)2 at high temperature.
Journal ArticleDOI
Characterization and thermal decomposition of Mg 2 KH(AsO 4 ) 2 ·15H 2 O
TL;DR: In this paper, the infrared and Raman spectroscopic characteristics, thermal analysis and solid-state transformations of Mg2KH(AsO4)2·15H2O have been investigated by simultaneous TG/DTA/mass spectrometry experiments in the temperature range up to 1000°C at different heating rates.
Journal ArticleDOI
