Theoretical modeling on luminescent down-shifting process: A Discussion on luminescent molecule design

TL;DR: In this paper, a model was developed to describe the luminescent down-shifting (LDS) process in photovoltaic application, which links the J sc enhancement (J LDS %) of the solar cell to the photophysical properties including absorption (λ abs ) and emission (λ em ) wavelengths, Stokes shift (Δλ) and spectral cutting point (λ SCP), as well as fluorescence quantum yield (Φ f ), of the luminecent molecules.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and Excimer Formation Properties of Electroactive Polyamides Incorporated with 4,5-Diphenoxypyrene Units

TL;DR: In this article , a new dietherpyrene-cored diamine monomer, namely, 4,5-bis(4-aminophenoxy)pyrene, was successful synthesized and formed a series of electroactive polyamides with an aryloxy linkage in a polymer main chain and bearing pyrene chromophore as a pendent group using conventional one-pot polycondensation reactions with commercial aromatic/aliphatic dicarboxylic acids.

Vibronic spectral behaviour of molecules: Theoretical study of the s0-s1 absorption and fluorescence band of benzo(k)-fluoranthene

TL;DR: The calculated vibronic structure of the S0-S1 absorption and fluorescence band of benzo(k)-f]uoranthene is presented and compared with the experimental spectra as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Photoisomerization of diarylethylenes

TL;DR: In this paper, the absolute quantum yields of fluorescence and cis ⇋ trans photoisomerization for naphthylethylenes in liquid and solid solutions at room temperature were measured by the methods of fluorescent and spectrophotometry.
