Journal ArticleDOI
Influence of crosslinking on charge carrier mobility in crosslinkable polyfluorene derivatives
TL;DR: In this paper, a series of polyfluorenes (PF2/6) with different fractions of crosslinkable acrylate groups is investigated Mobility measurements are carried out to assess the influence of crosslinking with different photoinitiators on the performance of the material.
Journal ArticleDOI
Multiple functionalization of benzophenones inside polyphenylene dendrimers--toward entrapped ions and radicals.
TL;DR: In this paper, a benzophenone-functionalized tetraphenylcyclopentadienone branching unit was used to synthesize polyphenylene dendrimers possessing a defined number of keto groups in the dendritic scaffold.
Journal ArticleDOI
Nonresonant and Local Field Effects in Peptidic Nanostructures Bearing Oligo(p-phenylenevinylene) Units
TL;DR: This study elucidates the nonresonant and local peptide field effects enforced within the internal environment of peptide nanomaterials and how they lead to varied photophysical properties of the embedded π-electron cores.
Journal ArticleDOI
Experimental and theoretical study of 2,5-diaryloxazoles whose aryl are para-substituted phenyl groups
TL;DR: The decrease of the fluorescence quantum yield subsequent to substitution of PPO with phenoxy fragments was found to be due to the enhanced molecular flexibility comparing to PPO, which was rationalized in terms of a smaller S(1)-T(2) gap for the former, thus increasing the rate of the overall nonradiative intersystem crossing processes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Suppressing π-π stacking interactions for enhanced solid-state emission of flat aromatic molecules via edge functionalization with picket-fence-type groups
Hye Jin Cho,Sang Won Kim,Sung-Jin Kim,Sangback Lee,Juhyen Lee,Yeonchoo Cho,Yunmi Lee,Tae-Woo Lee,Hyeon-Jin Shin,Changsik Song +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, a 2,6-dimethylphenyl group was introduced on the edge of hexa-perihexabenzocoronene (HBC) through a bottom-up synthetic process.
