Filter bank algorithms for piecewise linear prewavelets on arbitrary triangulations

TLDR
This paper studies algorithms for decomposition, reconstruction, and approximation based on piecewise linear prewavelets on bounded triangulations of arbitrary topology and shows that the Schur complement of the associated two scale matrix is symmetric, positive definite, and well conditioned.

The Hindmarsh-Rose neuron model: bifurcation analysis and piecewise-linear approximations.

TL;DR: These results can be used both to design a circuit implementation of the Hindmarsh-Rose model mimicking the diversity of neural response and as guidelines to predict the behavior of the model as well as its circuit implementation as a function of parameters.

Generalized B-spline subdivision-surface wavelets for geometry compression

TL;DR: A new construction of lifted biorthogonal wavelets on surfaces of arbitrary two-manifold topology for compression and multiresolution representation, and wavelet constructions for bilinear, bicubic, and B-spline subdivision are presented.

A method for the approximate synthesis of cellular non‐linear networks—Part 1: Circuit definition

TL;DR: The paper deals with the approximate synthesis of the multi-terminal resistors that include all the non-linearities of such dynamic circuits and the proposed approximation method is based on the piecewise-linear (PWL) approach.

Theory and Algorithms for Non-Uniform Spline Wavelets

TL;DR: This work investigates mutually orthogonal spline wavelet spaces on non-uniform partitions of a bounded interval, addressing the existence, uniqueness and construction of bases of minimally supportedspline wavelets.

FPGA Implementations of Piecewise Affine Functions Based on Multi-Resolution Hyperrectangular Partitions

TL;DR: A digital architecture suited for fast, low-power and small-size electronic implementation of PieceWise Affine (PWA) functions defined over n-dimensional domains partitioned into multi-resolution hyperrectangles and a simpler and even faster architecture is proposed.

Methods of Conjugate Gradients for Solving Linear Systems

TL;DR: An iterative algorithm is given for solving a system Ax=k of n linear equations in n unknowns and it is shown that this method is a special case of a very general method which also includes Gaussian elimination.

Scattered data interpolation: tests of some methods

TL;DR: In this paper, the evaluation of methods for scattered data interpolation and some of the results of the tests when applied to a number of methods are presented. But the evaluation process involves evaluation of the methods in terms of timing, storage, accuracy, visual pleasantness of the surface, and ease of implementation.
