TLDR
Interestingly, besides the Phe200Tyr mutation-carrying HR isolate, the remaining highly-carbendazim resistant phenotypes could not be associated with any of the target site modification/overproduction, detoxification or reduced uptake-increased efflux mechanisms.

Glutathione S-Transferase Enzymes in Plant-Pathogen Interactions.

TL;DR: Functional studies revealed that overexpression or silencing of specific GSTs can markedly modify disease symptoms and also pathogen multiplication rates, but very limited information is available about the exact metabolic functions of disease-induced GST isoenzymes and about their endogenous substrates.

Advances in Fusarium drug resistance research

TL;DR: In this article, the authors reviewed recent studies related to the mechanism of Fusarium resistance, and summarized the key molecules affecting resistance, including target alterations, drug efflux and biofilm formation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Activation of biosynthetic gene clusters by the global transcriptional regulator TRI6 in Fusarium graminearum.

TL;DR: The results showed that the trichothecene genes are under direct control, while the gramillin gene cluster is indirectly controlled by TRI6 through its interaction with the pathway‐specific transcription factor GRA2.

Resistance mechanisms and fitness of pyraclostrobin-resistant isolates of Lasiodiplodia theobromae from mango orchards.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors discussed factors determining rapid development of pyraclostrobin-resistance and its resistance mechanisms and compared the relative conductivity and enzyme activities of different phenotypes under fungicide stress.

A rapid and sensitive method for the quantitation of microgram quantities of protein utilizing the principle of protein-dye binding

TL;DR: This assay is very reproducible and rapid with the dye binding process virtually complete in approximately 2 min with good color stability for 1 hr with little or no interference from cations such as sodium or potassium nor from carbohydrates such as sucrose.

Analysis of relative gene expression data using real-time quantitative pcr and the 2(-delta delta c(t)) method

TL;DR: The 2-Delta Delta C(T) method as mentioned in this paper was proposed to analyze the relative changes in gene expression from real-time quantitative PCR experiments, and it has been shown to be useful in the analysis of realtime, quantitative PCR data.

Increased mRNA levels of ERG16, CDR, and MDR1 correlate with increases in azole resistance in Candida albicans isolates from a patient infected with human immunodeficiency virus.

TL;DR: A compilation of the genetic alterations identified in this series suggests that resistance develops gradually and is the sum of several different changes, all of which contribute to the final resistant phenotype.
Journal ArticleDOI

Advances in understanding molecular mechanisms of fungicide resistance and molecular detection of resistant genotypes in phytopathogenic fungi

TL;DR: Recent advances in understanding of resistance mechanisms of phytopathogenic fungi to some major classes of fungicides at a molecular level and developments in molecular detection of fungicide-resistant fungi are reviewed.

Tandem repeat of a transcriptional enhancer upstream of the sterol 14α-demethylase gene (CYP51) in Penicillium digitatum

TL;DR: Results indicate that the 126-bp unit acts as a transcriptional enhancer and that a tandem repeat of the unit enhances CYP51 expression, resulting in DMI resistance, a new fungicide resistance mechanism for filamentous fungi.
