TL;DR: This document updates and expands the initial Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) Fever and Neutropenia Guideline that was published in 1997 and first updated in 2002 and developed a clearer definition of which populations of patients with cancer may benefit most from antibiotic, antifungal, and antiviral prophylaxis.

TL;DR: Changes include the recommendations for PCV rather than PPSV-23 for pneumococcal vaccination, starting some vaccinations earlier post-transplant, and the addition of recommendations for Varivax, HPV vaccine, and (the non-use of) Zostavax vaccine are included.

TL;DR: These guidelines (epic3) provide comprehensive recommendations for preventing HCAI in hospital and other acute care settings based on the best currently available evidence, and the synopses of evidence underpinning the guideline recommendations have been updated.

Transmission of COVID-19 virus by droplets and aerosols: A critical review on the unresolved dichotomy.
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the nosocomial transmission by airborne SARS-CoV-2 viral-laden aerosols in healthcare facilities may be plausible and clearly defined, science-based administrative, clinical, and physical measures are of paramount importance to eradicate the COVID-19 pandemic from the world.

Effectiveness of a hospital-wide programme to improve compliance with hand hygiene
Didier Pittet,Stéphane Hugonnet,Stéphan Juergen Harbarth,Philippe Mourouga,V Sauvan,Sylvie Touveneau,Thomas V. Perneger +6 more
TL;DR: The campaign produced a sustained improvement in compliance with hand hygiene, coinciding with a reduction of nosocomial infections and MRSA transmission, and the promotion of bedside, antiseptic handrubs largely contributed to the increase in compliance.
