Journal ArticleDOI
Thermodynamics and defect structure of intermetallic phases with the B2 (CsCl) structure
TL;DR: The importance of theoretical models for an understanding of the structural stability of intermetallic phases and for the evaluation and eventual prediction of binary and ternary phase diagrams is discussed in this article.
Journal ArticleDOI
AuSn alloy phase diagram and properties related to its use as a bonding medium
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reviewed a large number of publications on the AuSn system and summarized the important properties and further enhanced the development of new Au-sn bonding methods as a result of an overall understanding of oxidation and diffusion properties.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Cu–Sn phase diagram part II: New thermodynamic assessment
TL;DR: In this paper, a thermodynamic description for the Cu-Sn system was developed using the CALPHAD approach taking into account all available literature data as well as the experimental results presented in Part I of this work.
Journal ArticleDOI

Self-Diffusion in Near-Equiatomic Ordered Au-Cd Alloys
TL;DR: In this paper, self-diffusion measurements in near-equiatomic ordered Au-Cd alloy single-crystal specimens having 47.5, 49.0, and 50.5 nominal composition have been made over a temperature range of 353-598\ifmmode^\circ\else\text degree\fi{}C, using a differential counting method made possible direct measurement of the ratio of diffusivities.
