TL;DR: In this article , the authors explored the challenges and enablers of transdisciplinarity in African academic institutions and synthesised their learnings alongside key literature, and explore avenues to better promote and support TD within academic institutions across Africa; resource TD for sustainable partnerships; and strengthen TD practices and impacts to support transformation to sustainability across diverse places and contexts.
