Concomitance and interactions of pathogens in the Iberian wolf (Canis lupus).

TL;DR: Sarcoptic mange, CDV and CPV showed higher seroprevalence values in the areas with higher wolf densities, and a positive association betweenCDV and S. scabiei antibody responses was detected.

First report of a Cryptococcus magnus infection in a cat

TL;DR: Morphological, physiological, and molecular analyses of the yeasts demonstrated that the fungus was C. magnus, and response to treatment with fluconazole was fast and effective, and one year after the end of the therapy no further clinical signs of infection were observed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of type I interferons on the expression of feline leukaemia virus.

TL;DR: It was found that reverse transcriptase activity (RT), directly proportional to the amount of infectious free virions, decreased with increasing concentrations of IFN and longer treatment times, and rHuIFNalpha(A/D) appeared to be the most effective IFN in inhibiting RT.
