Julia sets as buried Julia components

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that there exists a rational map with degree Ω(g) that contains a buried Julia component on which the dynamics is quasiconformally conjugate to that of the rational map on the Julia set if and only if it does not have parabolic basins.
Journal ArticleDOI

On Connectivity of Fatou Components concerning a Family of Rational Maps

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that there exists a rational map with Fatou components with connectivities 3 and 5 for any given finite connectivity, and that there exist rational maps with connectivity 9.
Journal ArticleDOI

Any Way You Slice It, It Comes Up Julia Sets

TL;DR: In this article, the authors considered functions that are obtained by composing certain types of complex functions with themselves many times, and they considered functions obtained by combining different types of functions with each other many times.

Dynamics in the Eremenko-Lyubich class

TL;DR: For a survey of the dynamics of functions in the Eremenko-Lyubich class, see, e.g., as discussed by the authors, for instance, the work of as discussed by the authors.

Chaos in Dynamical Systems: How Uncertainty Arises in Scientific and Engineering Phenomena

TL;DR: The present chapter demonstrates that certain, seemingly deterministic, dynamical systems also exhibit some attributes of ran-domness such as stability of frequencies and fluctuations.
