TLDR
In this paper, the authors used Lamb wave detection for detection of thin-walled structures due to their long propagation capability and sensitivity to a variety of different types of damage types.
Abstract
Lamb waves have shown great potentials in damage detection of thin-walled structures due to their long propagation capability and sensitivity to a variety of damage types. However, their practical ...

Lamb wave defect detection and evaluation using a fully non-contact laser system

TL;DR: In this article, a fully non-contact structural health monitoring (SHM)/nondestructive evaluation (NDE) system was proposed by employing pulsed laser (PL) for Lamb wave actuation and scanning laser Doppler vibrometer (SLDV) for lambda wave sensing.

Various Types of Defects Detection in Flat and Curved Laminated Composite Plates Using Nonintrusive Lamb Wave System

TL;DR: A nonintrusive removable Lamb wave system and accompanied methodology that is not material dependent are presented in this paper to detect various types of typical defects in laminated composite plates, flat or curved.

Delamination damage imaging method of CFRP composite laminate plates based on the sensitive guided wave mode

TL;DR: In this paper , a detection and imaging method of delamination damage in CFRP composite laminate structures is proposed. But the method uses full wavefield data and is based on incident waves rather than reflected waves.

Experimental Study of Lamb Waves Propagation inside an Impact Damage in the Size of the Used Wavelength

TL;DR: In this paper, an experimental study of Lamb wave propagation in an aluminum plate with an impact damage in the size of the S0 mode wavelength is presented. But the results were obtained by applying the continuous wavelet transform (CWT) on the wavefield data recorded by two ultrasonic scanning techniques: the air coupled ultrasonic (ACU) and the Laser doppler vibrometry (LDV), to obtain a C-scan and a B-scan of the plate respectively.

Ultrasonic Waves in Solid Media

TL;DR: In this article, the theory of elasticity was introduced and basic formulas and concepts in complex variables in the theory and application of wave propagation were discussed. But the authors did not consider the effects of wave scattering on the wave propagation experiments.

On waves in an elastic plate

TL;DR: In this article, the authors considered the problem of two-dimensional wave propagation in a solid bounded by parallel planes, and proposed a simple solution to the problem, which has no bearing on the questions referred to in this paper.

Structural Health Monitoring: with Piezoelectric Wafer Active Sensors

TL;DR: Structural Health Monitoring with Piezoelectric Wafer active sensors (PWAS) as mentioned in this paper is the first comprehensive textbook to provide background information, theoretical modeling, and experimental examples on the principal technologies involved in SHM.
