TLDR
In this paper, the authors examined the United Nation sustainable development goals in the context of Pakistan by using a time series data from 1970 to 2016, and employed Tapio's elasticity of decoupling state to analyze the relationship between water-energy-food resources and carbon-fossil-greenhouse gas emissions in a given country context.

Relationships between industry 4.0, sustainable manufacturing and circular economy: proposal of a research framework

TL;DR: The impact of Industry 4.0 technology adoption on sustainable manufacturing and circular economy has been under-researched as discussed by the authors, and a research framework is proposed to integrate these three contemporary concepts in the context of supply chain management.
Journal ArticleDOI

Modeling the effect of green technology innovation and renewable energy on carbon neutrality in N-11 countries? Evidence from advance panel estimations.

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of green technology innovation and renewable energy on environmental degradation in N-11 countries were analyzed. But, the short-run association of green technologies innovation is not significant, and the results endorsed by the robustness tests such as AMG and CCEMG.
Journal ArticleDOI

How energy insecurity leads to energy poverty? Do environmental consideration and climate change concerns matters

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a measurement and analysis of G7 countries' energy, economic, social, and environmental performance associated with energy poverty indexes using data envelopment analysis (DEA).
Journal ArticleDOI

Co-movement of energy prices and stock market return: environmental wavelet nexus of COVID-19 pandemic from the USA, Europe, and China.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied the time-frequency relationship between the recent COVID-19 pandemic and instabilities in oil price and the stock market, geopolitical risks, and uncertainty in the economic policy in the USA, Europe, and China.
Journal ArticleDOI

Determination of resource curse hypothesis in mediation of financial development and clean energy sources: Go-for-green resource policies

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the role of energy demand, natural resources, and financial development indicators on carbon emissions, emissions from fossil fuel combustion, and greenhouse gas emissions in the context of Saudi Arabia for the period of 1975-2018.

Global Water Pollution and Human Health

TL;DR: In this paper, the main groups of aquatic contaminants, their effects on human health, and approaches to mitigate pollution of freshwater resources are reviewed, particularly on inorganic and organic micropollutants including toxic metals and metalloids as well as a large variety of synthetic organic chemicals.

Towards a theory of decoupling: degrees of decoupling in the EU and the case of road traffic in Finland between 1970 and 2001

Petri Tapio
- 01 Mar 2005 -
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a theoretical framework for decoupling, defining the difference between decouplings, coupling and negative decoupled, and further break down to weak, strong and expansive/recessive degrees of decouples, laying emphasis on the absolute increase or decrease of the variables.
Journal ArticleDOI

Where are the best opportunities for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the food system (including the food chain)

TL;DR: In this paper, a review of food related greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions at the global, regional and national levels is presented, highlighting both GHG-intensive stages in the food chain, and GHGintensive food types.
Journal ArticleDOI

How economic growth, renewable electricity and natural resources contribute to CO2 emissions?

TL;DR: This article explored the relationship between economic growth and CO2 emissions in the so-called European Union 5 (EU-5) countries (Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom) for the 1985-2016 period.
