Parametric Study of Non-axisymmetric Stretch Flanging Process on AA-6061-T6 Sheet

TL;DR: In this article, the authors carried out FE simulation of two such parameters (punch-die clearance and profile radii) and investigated their effect on maximum circumferential strain (CS) of AA-6061-T6 metal blank through finite element simulation software ABAQUS/CAE 6.13.

Contribution to micro-milling process parameters selection for process planning operations

TL;DR: In this article, the authors focus on increasing knowledge about the micro-milling, establishing relationships between the process parameters as well as machining conditions and the key aspects of the final piece such as accuracy, quality surface finishing and geometrical quality.
Journal ArticleDOI

Improvement of grinding performance and investigation of cutting parameters using a grinding mechanism with secondary rotational axis

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of certain cutting parameters on arithmetical mean deviation of the assessed profile (the Ra parameter) were investigated, and the effect of the specified control factors on the surface roughness was demonstrated using an analysis of variance (ANOVA) test.

Characterization of Highly Hardened Surface Layers on Austenitic Stainless Steels

TL;DR: In this paper, the highly hardened surface layers obtained from a TiN-physical vapor deposition (PVD) coating and a treatment that leads to a surface carbon enrichment, applied to American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) 304, 316, and 316L stainless steels, have been characterized.

Constitutive parameter optimisation using metal forming experiment and finite element analysis

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated a method for optimising parameters in a constitutive model of steel using the finite element method (FEM) and found that a set of parameters where the flow stress of the material is optimised using a power function, relating one hundred predefined values of plastic strain to the flow stresses, gives the best fit to experimental data.
