2 general approaches that come highly recommended: maximum likelihood (ML) and Bayesian multiple imputation (MI) are presented and may eventually extend the ML and MI methods that currently represent the state of the art.Abstract:
Statistical procedures for missing data have vastly improved, yet misconception and unsound practice still abound. The authors frame the missing-data problem, review methods, offer advice, and raise issues that remain unresolved. They clear up common misunderstandings regarding the missing at random (MAR) concept. They summarize the evidence against older procedures and, with few exceptions, discourage their use. They present, in both technical and practical language, 2 general approaches that come highly recommended: maximum likelihood (ML) and Bayesian multiple imputation (MI). Newer developments are discussed, including some for dealing with missing data that are not MAR. Although not yet in the mainstream, these procedures may eventually extend the ML and MI methods that currently represent the state of the art.read more

Quality of parental homework involvement: Predictors and reciprocal relations with academic functioning in the reading domain.
TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined predictors of the quality of parental homework involvement and reciprocal relations between the quality and academic functioning in a reading-intensive subject (German) using data from 2,830 students in nonacademic tracks and their parents who were surveyed in both Grades 5 and 7.

The Role of Leader-Member Exchange in the Performance Appraisal Process
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors propose that supervisor-subordinate exchange relationships create a social context that substantially influences the performance appraisal discussion and feedback reactions, and the mediating variables in this process are employee voice during the PA session and justice judgments.

Identifying patients with suspected pancreatic cancer in primary care: derivation and validation of an algorithm
TL;DR: The algorithm derived and validated an algorithm to estimate absolute risk of having pancreatic cancer in patients with and without symptoms in primary care has good discrimination and calibration and could potentially be used to help identify those at highest risk of Pancreatic cancer to facilitate early referral and investigation.
