Mode Pulling in a Stimulated Raman Oscillator
TLDR
In this article, the authors measured the Fabry-Perot mode spacings of Raman oscillators and found that substantial mode pulling was occurring, interpreted according to mode-pulling theory.Abstract:
Stimulated Raman scattering has been observed in quartz at low temperatures in which the 467 cm−1 Stokes line is split into two or more sharp components. The quartz samples, which were in the form of resonant cavities, behaved as Raman oscillators pumped by a ruby laser. Measurement of the Fabry—Perot mode spacings of the oscillators showed that substantial mode pulling was occurring. This was interpreted according to mode‐pulling theory.read more

Stimulated Raman amplification characteristics in long span single-mode silica fibers
TL;DR: Spectral Raman amplification characteristics have been measured directly for a tunable pumping source, taking the relative polarization states of pump and signal waves into consideration as mentioned in this paper, and it has been observed, even with an orthogonal polarization pump, in a long span single mode fiber.

a Tunable Stimulated Raman Oscillator
TL;DR: In this article, a Q-switched ruby laser was used to excite the A1 symmetry 248 cm−1 polariton mode in a LiNbO3 crystal, at room temperature, in a resonator external to the laser cavity which was tuned to the Stokes frequency.

TL;DR: In this article, the absolute frequencies of the 311μ and the 337μ transitions of the CN gas laser were measured to within a few parts in 107.5 GHz by mixing the laser frequencies with high order harmonics of a microwave signal in a silicon diode.

TL;DR: In this article, the frequency shifts of laser modes which are brought about by the nonlinear response of the active laser material are calculated up to orderγ/α, whereγ is the natural linewidth and α is the superimposed inhomogeneous broadening.
